It looks like I'm going to try to make an "HD pack" for the FS-X edition! I'll include an optional to install model without passenger, and maybe a couple more fixes if I find anything!

Perfect! Thanks Mario for all your work and generously sharing it with the FS community. You have many happy and appreciative fans. This is just so much fun . .

Hello All, and as always, thanks for the very kind comments!

About the clickspots it might be due to a single pixel where the areas intersect! I did not find it,but Murphy's laws, well... gotta check!

Being experimenting with higher resolution textures here! upping the static internal textures to a 2048x2048 resolution works as expected! The CB panels on the cockpit walls look much better that way. The bad news is that FS-X does not support resolutions higher than 1024x1024 regarding gauge placement textures. Anything bigger is scaled down... Pity, because the gauges themselves have more than enough resolution to double them up! The PFD and the ND can be extended to infinity since they are vectorial...but FS limits the resolution here, only solution will be to redesign the cockpit, probably at a very high performance cost!

Sorry for asking stupid, but would the VC background work out in a higher resolution? The folks from the Basler project run some 2048x2048 stuff and it really made a difference on the VC text.

As for the gauges. Well, nobody will demand a full rework of course. I'd have wished for a bit more on the PFD and ND, but they are working as they are, so we are talking about the icing on the cake. But if that icing comes at the cost of a full rework, it's no option of course.

She's a cool plane either way.

Well, I have tried that, and although it works, the only thing that improves is the static text on the VC background. It looks strangely sharp with respect to the rest of the panel, and I have no higher resolution sources for the rest of the background. Not all the text was re-written, so this makes it look even more out of place... I think that is not worth the effort, or at least, I don't like the results...

This plane must be crack. I can't seem to stop flying it. 32,500ft at 428kn GS and burning a helluva lot less fuel than my Eaglesoft Citation X while looking so much better.

It has my vote for best freeware on AVSIM.

I will second that! The sounds (just heard one go over this morning) are spot on as is the FM, the systems functionality and visual 3d model and textures. Just zoom in really close in spot view to see how this really looks like HD payware. The new vc IS a big improvement over the older versions. If the background textures could somehow be made more hi res (the gauges can be seasoned to ones taste easily) that would be icing on the cake!

Thanks!

nice airplane, thank you mario

Thanks for answering, Mario. You impression is the ruler of the changes of course and since the plane is great as it is, there's no problem if it stays that way. My notes on the 'can you do this and that' just arise from the laymen's viewpoint of mine. I could never code anything more than a straight line. Well, even less.

I am loving this plane! Encountered a dual engine fire on departure (while online Pilot Edge embarrassing!).... extinguished but couldn't restart engines, made ER landing at nearby KCRQ... very rough but survivable! Cripes I need to monitor those puppies a lot better!

I've gotten accustomed to watching ITT's like a hawk. Once I see them start climbing past 810 I throttle back just a touch. Forget about a restart....

Makes for an interesting time when taking off in high temp conditions.

Fun plane though B)

Maybe I've just been a wuss, but the previous planes I always disable engine failure etc.... this one it's just realistc - you get what you get, there's no way to disable them as far as I know - and it's quite a challenge! Other than (a want of mine) a VC upgrade to HD this thing is amazing for freeware.

Seriously well done Mario!

I too think this is an excellent package. Being somewhat new I find it challenging but not over whelming and for me very close to real. Thank you for the effort. I have one question and that is can you change the range distance on the EFIS or is that just the way it is designed? I could not find a place to do that. Thank you. This is using the VC.
