Agreed. Just let me look at it again.

I will post the sections I've edited in full. Just pick your edits or replace the full sections in the panel.cfg. Make a backup first, you never know what's going to happen. Talking about the panel.cfg file at SimObjects\Airplanes\P180_V2011\Panel.

Window02, where the GPS gauge is 2D and acts as the popup. Mind the ident=15531 entry. This should match the number being set in your RXPGNX.ini. With this, the default RXP popup clickspot works.

[Window02]
Background_color=1,1,1
size_mm=616,444
window_size_ratio=1.000

Vcockpit02, all MN_P180_2011!MFD entries are excluded, which is the GPS gauge and the surrounding knobs. Then the RXP gauge is added.

Note. You might also like to exclude the TCAS gauge since your RXP GNS530 shows the traffic and warns you. But I think this only works with the RXP unlimited pack in place, so it's optional. For max TCAS details, keep the gauge though.

The only airplane I have a delay with is the FSD Commander 115TC.

My Carenado C208 takes a while. The JetProp does too, but way shorter. Those were my examples in mind.

And Mario saved us heading for the payware. ^_^ By the way, she handles beautifully while hand flying.

For some reason mines not showing up in the VC... I copied the VCockpit02 lines exactly...

edit: I've got the gauge but now my screen showing the HSI is gone...

edit: it's now working but I had to keep the other MFD related gauges...

//gauge05=MN_P180_2011!MFD, 50,601,265,187

gauge05=rxpGNS!GNS530, 50,601,265,187

A side note for the RXP mod... the line won't show on the MFD (I wonder if LINKGPS=on could be experimented with).. but the autopilot will follow the RXP RNAV route...

As for the LNAv/GPSS navigation, there is a toggle knob in the pedestal, then use the autopilot NAV mode.. the ND will read "GPS1" on the left side...

Enjoy!

Thanks, I was the guy who emailed you (Ryan) recently...

Thanks for the heads up. This is one of my all time favorite aircraft along with the Starship. A P-180 flies over my house occasionally and I really enjoy watching it climb out and turn to the west.

Thank you Mario.

Thank you.

Look like a good candidate for the ISG1 gauges also. Probably make a Reality Xp/ Sandel 3308 and a ISG1 version.

I really only fly airliners in FSX.

But I can't resist this one!

Thank you Mario for your contribution to flight sim!

Good catch on the RXP parameter. Right you are, adding LinkGps=On in the RXPGNS.ini makes sense. AutoCourse=On also is a good one.

Edited. I've just checked it with a fresh start. Means using a fresh panel.cfg and only editing those two entries posted. Works here. :mellow:

Edited. Can you post or attach your panel.cfg, Ryan? Out of interest, I'd like to take a look. Perhaps I'm missing something which caused the problems at your end with my edits running. :unsure:

I think the VC display of the RXP has a problem coming up with clear graphics. Hard to describe, but the display in the 2D popup is sharper and different to the VC impression. Anyone seeing that one too?

71314717.jpg

Check the fullscreen view if needed. That 'pixelized' character of the VC RXP screen is what I'm talking about. I don't know what's causing the difference.

Amazing system details by the way. Anyone checked that nose wheel steering mode difference or the various tests being able to run? Wow. I love that stall sound and the overspeed thing. :biggrin:

Does anyone know how to remove the passenger?

Thank you guys for the comments!

I have no knowledge of how the RXP gauges work, but if they are plain "gauges" (GAU, XML (CAB), or DLL) then there should not be any problem at all... note that in the 3D cockpit the TCAS is a pop-up polygon, therefore you can get your RXP there and the TCAS will still appear whan called (although it might not mix well with the GNS in the background)... about being it an older version, well I can only distribute the free one! I think I stated in the readme to check this when installing!

Enjoy!

No! THANK YOU!

I'm sure she's part of the model... hehe

About the RXP install CoolP - It was really weird... at first I tried while pre-configuring with RXP tool... then adding those entires.. The entire right half of the cockpit was blank. Then I had to reinstall the entire plane because nothing I did would fix the panel lol.

Then I tried just changing out the panel.cfg to what you edited.... and I lost the EHSI. So I went to the backup, then redid the edit with just gauge05....

//gauge05=MN_P180_2011!MFD, 50,601,265,187

gauge05=rxpGNS!GNS530, 50,601,265,187

And it works....

p.s. yes mine is fuzzy too... most of my VC is fairly fuzzy fwiw.

I'm wondering about the fuzziness as you call it. When looking at the textures in use (in the panel folder), the graphics on the text and things are sharp. But the sim itself comes up with a less sharper VC impression.

Take that test switch for example. Lots of surrounding text. The source bitmap is ok, but the VC is more blurry. I've tried blowing up the VC background textures to four times the size, sorta poor man's 'HD' ^_^ and just acting as a test. This helped a bit but gave me some white spots around the AP buttons, which is the scenery shining through. However, look at the comparison screens and especially note the text around that test switch.

My poor man's HD attempt.

The screenshots were done without ENB running and, unfortunately, changed nothing on the RXP gauge. I think it has a problem being sized that way. I saw a similar problem with the GNS530 being added to the DA Cheyenne VC.

If one wanted to enhance the gauges like on the Basler freeware, that gauge file cab offers the opportunity. But that's way over my head, even that small test with the VC background was.

And for the author of that nice plane. Please don't read my reports the wrong way. Your plane is a blast and I will fly her in Antarctica, besides my Basler. Gotta watch those OAT limits, huh? :Worried:

Does anyone know how to remove the passenger?

What's wrong about that guy? :P Just fly gently and he won't harm you. ^_^

p180v20113.jpg

Hoping you folks can help me with that one.

warnl.jpg

How can I get rid of the WARN message? I'm assuming that it's coming up with a too high electrical load. Now I'm cruising at FL280, pretty fast by the way, and so I have the normal wind shield heating, pitot heat and the strobe lights and things. Landing lights and stuff are off.

I've tried a bit with all the different cockpit and cabin fans on/off, but this didn't alter the warning message. The generators are online and the inverters are both connected.

The manual says.

If an abnormal situation with the electrical system occurs, the display will blink with a red "WARN" alert.

I had the nice checklist in use, so I wonder what that abnormal situation could have been and how I can avoid and clear it. :Worried:

Other than that, the speed of that thing is just impressive. I've tried a long range cruise and saw some 300 knots with a nice fuel burn. With the recommended cruise power, I'm up to 380+ knots TAS. Speedy!

Did you check your battery temperature? it might be freezing in there! If you don't turn the air heater & air conditioner on, the environment system may not be able to regulate the cabin temperature!

P.S: anybody knows who the pink puffball is?

signature.jpg

Haha, thanks, Mario. I was saving some power, seems like a bit too much. :blush: I will watch the cabin and batt temps from now on.

anybody knows who the pink puffball is?

That's easy. It's the one puffball eating bad pilots. :ph34r: No wonder I was scared.
