August 13, 201213 yr looks to be nice, but who knows about the functionality of the G1000. Price is definitely better than the Flight1 offering, and the exterior looks quite good. http://www.carenado.com/CarSite/Portal/index.php?accion=product&correl=73 http://www.carenado.com/CarSite/Portal/image/productos/CE2000X/2.jpg
August 13, 201213 yr Yes,Im really interested,I have The F1 Version and love it,Though it's a little FPS Heavy,I'm a big fan of the CT182T so I'll probaly purchase after hearing a few reviews. 100%75%50%d8a34be0e82d98b5a45ff4336cd0dddc Patrick
August 13, 201213 yr Looks very good on the screens. That G1000 seems to incorporate an airway display, the Cessna checklists and some nice terrain view (different colours than F1 uses). From what I can see, the AP is a separate unit whereas the F1 runs it inside the G1000. Oh, they have that one? -Full engine section with fuel lean assistant Either way, let us know how you like her and how the fps are.
August 13, 201213 yr The Flight1 182 is fantastic all around. I couldn't see purchasing this one with F1's G1000/AP simulation. That and it's beautiful. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules
August 13, 201213 yr Same as you, Zach, I don't think that running both makes sense. But, for the folks not yet owning a G1000 C182, it offers a choice.
August 13, 201213 yr Author Same as you, Zach, I don't think that running both makes sense. But, for the folks not yet owning a G1000 C182, it offers a choice. Yea I am a bit cash strapped right now...but when I buy this I'll tell you guys how it is.
August 13, 201213 yr One things for sure, Carenado's models are simply stunning! I won't be dabbing in this one I've already got the F1 version... and current navdata is imperative for my flying. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
August 13, 201213 yr So how's the flight dynamics of the Flight1 model? I'm not a fan of glass cockpits on small aircraft (a solid GPS, yes...but not the rest). Having said that, I am considering one of them. Gregg Seipp "A good landing is when you can walk away from the airplane. A great landing is when you can reuse it." i9 64GB RAM, GTX-5090

Having said that, I am considering one of them.[/quote'] Hi Gregg, Personally, I like the F1 182. FDE is good. It feels like a slightly heavier 172 which would make sense I suppose. I like the fact that when it's trimmed on approach it stays there. Proper power adjustment will allow good control over VSI without wild airspeed changes. August 14, 201213 yr Same here, good FDE on the F1 from my limited perspective. I wonder if the Carenado comes with a Bernt Stolle FDE or another one. He was on the latest releases of theirs, but they don't mention his name in the description, hence my question.
August 14, 201213 yr What would be nice (not possible) would be to have the F1 G1000 in the carenado .mdl | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
August 14, 201213 yr Apart from the fact that the F1 182 is a little fps hungry, it's absolutely superb. The fact that i use the real Garmin G1000 manual for reference on this thing should say it all........ I Ike Carenado, but someone will have to let me know how this one is..I won't be getting it. Ryan .....yes, the Carenado model with the f1 g1000 would be good...but maybe more fps hungry? August 14, 201213 yr I keep meaning to get the F1 version! Something always seems to get in the way. It will probably one of my next purchases. I'm not holding out much hope for the Carenado G1000 but we shall see Lee Sent using Tapatalk
August 14, 201213 yr Great model again with a few tweaks here and there from Carenado, itll be perfect. Again as someone said earlier the autopilot is incorporated outside the G1000 cockpit which I later learned is given by option by Cessna which Carenado simulated, Overall a great model and VC. The only issue I can see is a little FPS hit. On a friends system he said he experienced a frame hit and he has a monster of a PC. The exterior is extremely dead on with that of a real Cessna T182 looks like. The rivets are so awesome! The sounds are really good too, might not even need another third-party sound pack. Carenado did a really good job with this aircraft and I cannot wait for their next release as always. Rated 4 out of 5 stars.
