Now that I got promiscuous....

meaning... I finally have fun with 3 at the same time, well, not exactly at the same time, but in sequence - MS FLIGHT, X-Plane10 and FSX - I have to be very very cautious with my acquisitions.

FSX Gold is installed only with default scenery, and just a couple of old add-on aircraft (Aerosoft DiscusX and RealAir SF260), FSUIPC of course, and that's it.... But! I want to buy at least a good twin prop, and I have to make my decision between:

- Milviz Baron55

- Milviz Cessna 310

- RealAir Duke

I just can have one, because I can't avoid the Carenado CT182T next month, so... what would you suggest?

Ezdok

Thx! Never heard of it :-/ Browsing for it right away :-) because those effects are really missed from FLIGHT when flying in FSX (and X-Plane....) :-)

Can't speak to the Milviz birds, but the RealAir Turbine Duke is a true honey ;o)

From what I have seen so far, if you are at all interested in a fairly realistic rendition of a G1000, the Carenado 182 is not the version to get.

RealAir Duke twins are the best way to go.The B60 is nice but I spend more time with the Turbine Duke as its such a sweet bird to fly. If you want something a little bigger, Mario Noriega's Piaggio P180 freeware is in the library. That's also a sweet bird to fly and it doesn't hurt that its a sexy bird. Watch out for the ITT's at take-off if outside temps are high though B)

Thank you for all of the suggestions!

I'll get Mario's Piaggio of course, and the Duke, probably both versions :-)

Hi Jcomm,

I hate to tell you not to get those Milviz planes because I hear they are pretty good. However, I can say the RA Dukes are phenomenal. I definitely recommend getting the bundle deal with both the turbine and piston. The turbine is pure adrenaline but also a bit too fast for my tastes often and the piston fits that need perfectly. They're both wonderfully modeled planes that are one of the fee that handle ditching in water among all the standard RA goodies of good engine out behavior, spins, stalls, slips, etc.

My only complaint with the piston version is its a bit heavy on frame rates when compared to some other GA models.

Enjoy!

Oh and EZdok is a must. While the effects are nice it's also great for customizing the cameras. I couldn't fly without it, FSUIPC and TIR.

The Duke both Piston and Turbine are some of the best Aircraft ever created for FSX,You will not be Disappointed.

+1 on the Dukes. I only have the turbine version but its really great.

Im sure the piston version is equally well done.

Have and love both of the Dukes, but I have to muddy the waters and mention how good the Milviz B55 is. If you've ever spent time in the baby Baron, you'll plunk yourself down in the virtual seat and feel like you're home. It has one of the most real looking panels I've ever seen, with terrific real-world wear and tear. The B55 variant FDE is by Bernt Stolle, RXP integration works well (with a bit of tweaking) and it's just an overall nice plane to fly.

If you told me I had to give up the B60, the Turbine Duke or the B55, well... I'd tell you to take a hike - I ain't givin' up none of 'em! :-)

Wow, everyone loves the Duke. What are the main reasons? Is it better re. Feel than say the later Carenados? I have their v35, while it looks great I feel it's missing something in flight.

Jose, yes you NEED EZDok, it makes fsx so much more organic, but those camera shake options take awhile ti figure out. Many planes like the a2a and Katana have preset settings which is cool.

AND A2A are doing more GAs! C172 and Cherokee!!
