August 20, 201213 yr Oh, this is going to hurt.... lets see, the original (FS9) 737NG and 600/700 pack, boxed, 747, boxed, J41 and NGX (download) I guess around $300? I've paid full RRP for all of them, and will be adding the 777 and 747v2 as they are released. I'd dearly love the printed manual packs for the NGX and 777, but I can't justify it. However... I fly the J41 and NGX alternately, with the odd jaunt in the realair duke and recently bought the BBS Airbus A320 prologue, which I'm still test-flying, but in terms of $/Hour..... not a lot really, and worth every penny. I have spent equal amounts on aircraft that I never fly - Aerosofts Airbus X... Lago Maddog, captain sim 727 and 757. The last three are actually rather good, I just never get around to flying them because the J41 and NGX are so fantastic. Drew Melia, Lancashire UK Captain, InvictaJet VA http://www.invictajet.com
August 21, 201213 yr How much have you paid for your PMDG software so far? As much as they ask for it at their online shop, which by the way can be fount @ http://www.precisionmanuals.com/productcart/pc/viewcategories.asp Talking about who paid how much, how come you did not tell us how much you have paid?

August 21, 201213 yr My PMDG history is the FS2004 737NG and 747 and for FSX the 747X, MD-11X and the 737NGX. It's been more than worth the price since I use it so much. I'm really down to NGX flying only and some MD-11 for longer routes. Can't wait for the 777!
August 21, 201213 yr I paid full price for the MD-11, NGX (both standard, and the expansion), bought the NGX Captain's set, and the JS4100. I think total that is somewhere in the neighborhood easy of over $500 although I can't remember. I did luck out at Best Buy and picked up the 747 on disc for $20. Flight simming is really my only hobby other than RC cars, and I don't smoke or drink so I figure the money has to go somewhere. Steve Jordan Aviation Structural Mechanic SH-60B/HH-60H/MH-60R/MH-60S USN FSX Hours: 3000 and counting
August 21, 201213 yr I paid full price for the NGX as soon as it came out (and its worth twice what I paid in terms of enjoyment and engagement) and paid about $50 or something for the 747X I think. The other a/c I paid full price for was the LevelD 767 and I've got hundreds of hours in that baby - well worth it. It all comes down to value for money (I'm still waiting on the woodpidgeon with FMC...c'mon PMDG...you guys are slacking off! :P) - we all know PMDG is value for money (and LevelD and a few other software companies). There are some companies I wouldn't necessarily buy from because of the lite models they sell (except for the CLS B747 Classic and the CS B707 I picked up for $10 on sale!) however I'm always reading up on reviews, watching youtube videos and following forum posts on these a/c eg. the Aerosoft A320 series....ALLLLMOst purchased it but stopped because of all the complaints....will watch intently when they release the ver2 or whatever its called (there's room in my hangar for a nice new A320 in Jetstar or Tiger Airways livery). *edit* didn't finish my post properly...doh!! Basically, I will ONLY pay full price if I believe its value for money. There are only a handful of companies which automatically fall into this bucket but most don't. However, as stated above, I will constantly watch/monitor new products being released and will purchase if I see the reviews/comments/etc as being positive. Hopefully that now answers the question. I have gotten sick of wasting money on addons that aren't worth it. PMDG are one of the few that are reliable enough to be able to confidently pay full price to get an awesome simulation.
August 22, 201213 yr Author As much as they ask for it at their online shop, which by the way can be fount @ http://www.precision...wcategories.asp Talking about who paid how much, how come you did not tell us how much you have paid? How is your reading skills? Subject was clearly an estimate $/hour. I have only 747 so far (777 and 747v2 is on the list) and I have about 5 000 flying hours with it. 747 cost $55 new so total cost so far is 55/5000 = $0,01 per hour. Mikael Johansson
August 22, 201213 yr You got a discount!? *G voice* Rob hooked a brother up :P  - Luke Pabari
August 22, 201213 yr How is your reading skills? Subject was clearly an estimate $/hour. I have to confess I misunderstood you. Sorry. The math at my side would be something like 75$ / ~1000 hours = 0.075 $/hour. I do not know how many hours I've logged on my NGX because of several reinstalls of NGX, FSX and windows. But in case you calculate it that way, the price will always be reciprocal to the time spent in the cockpit. The real question is you cannot put a price of a sensation and experience flying a jet liner to a foreign airports, while talking to foreign ATCs. And all this in the comfort of your home. In the real world that would cost around 100000 euro. So the 75$ price mark is nothing compared to the feeling doing it. As one Master card advert used to say - "flying a 737NG from Heathrow to Schipol with heavy traffic - priceless!" cheers :)

This is the big point of this thread since many ask all time for discounts, sale, [insert any boring reason to get it cheaper]. If one product cost $500 new I would understand, but now it's so cheap especially comparing to what it gives you. Mikael Johansson
