I think there are only two of us who cannot benefit from this tweak for some reason.Is there anything we can do to join the happy bandwagon ?

Dont get me wrong, this fix isnt going to magically turn every system into FSX powerhouses, a give and take game is still in play when it comes to Graphics. I cannot, even though id very much like to, run max x2 water and have the sim run smooth. But i can run low x2 water and thats fine with me. But the sim is running better in dx10 mode. I just wish we could go back in time and have them develop fsx from the bottom up with dx10 in mind, then we would all probably be happy campers.

Quite true. Hell, a service pack 3 would have worked just fine.

If your copy of FSX is not displaying the option, then it is most likely because FSX detects that your system specs cannot support it. Now, I'm not saying that is the reason for certain, but that it is most likely the case.

Ken, if your fsx doesnt show the dx10 option, the first thing i would ask is if they have the acceleration addon pack installed...if they dont, then they wont have dx10. dx10 was enabled with that addon
