help with eaglesoft citation x 2.0

Featured Replies

After about a couple of years, I decided to reinstall the Eaglesoft citation 2.0. When I start (eng. running) I see the engine power at 48%, and I can not reduce it to idle using my Microsoft Pro controller. Please not that this controller works correctly for all my other airplanes.

I have registered at Eaglesoft, but am waiting for my approval to use their support forum, so I thought I would ask here. Any ideas on why the throttle is so high when it should be at idle power setting?

Thanks,

Jim

Head over to there Forum there are a few known issues if your using FSIUPC

Hi.

I had the same problem, because I wanted cold and dark.

I´m not at my flight PC right now, but here is a fix for that in one of the Citation X documents.

You have to edit the citation.cfg file. and change a 1 for a 0 (can't remember the parameter name though).

I think the FSUIPC issue is for FADEC, when you have a registered FSUIPC version.

BTW: Im also waiting for approval from their site.

Hello,

I had exactly the same problem.

I changed the file ESDG_CitationX.ini ( in folder .../AppData/Roaming/ESDG/CitationX ).

I changed the section FADEC to this:

[FADEC]

LeftFadec=1

RightFadec=1

Throttles=0

FSUIPC=1

I believe the line I changed was the line Throttles=0

This solved the problem for me.

Greetings.

Hello

Yes, that’s the line Throttles=0 // Solved the problem

I left the FSUIPC = 1, RightFadec = 1 and LeftFadec = 2 as they where

It's an issue with the latest FSUIPC that corrected a bug. How to get the correct behavior is documented in the Eaglesoft forums. Send an email to [email protected] with your forum username and let them know you need access.

I sent the mail a couple days ago, but still no joy.

Cheers.

If I may digress....the top speed of the Citation X is supposedly 703 mph...I could never get it over 560 without the speed warning going off. Is it possible to fly it at 650+ mph?

Same with the big jetliners....PMDG MD 11 etc. in my last flight it wouldn't pass 506 GS.

Ive seen 625knt GS with a 120kn tail wind @ FL500 in the CjetX. Overspeed will come from IAS.

I'll be sure to watch the GS next time, but yesterday I was doing .85 M @t FL470 from TNCM -> KMIA. Variable tailwind, up to 61 kts.

(No speed warning and throttle to cruise FADEC controlled)

Can't remember the formula to convert to GS.

It didn't solve the problem one bit... it shut the FADEC completely off.

There's only setting in the .ini file that you can affect... and it's Throttles=. Setting it to zero disables the FADEC system. The actual 'problem' is still there.

Set the value of Throttles= to the physical number of joystick inputs you will use for throttles. That is all that value represents. Setting it 0 disables the FADEC system entirely and setting it to a number that doesn't match your joystick's throttle count doesn't work very well either.

Nothing in that .ini file will correct the issue with FSUIPC's bug fix and how it affects the FADEC system for the Citation X.

I don't know why it seems too difficult to simply answer the question directly. It's not a State Secret after all... :rolleyes:

Open the FSUIPC.ini file and look for the entry

AxesWrongRange=No

Change this to

AxesWrongRange=Yes

Save the file. Done!

Thanks, Bill.

Ditk.

Where are the Eaglesoft Citation X 2.0 addon liveries. Are they available? The liveries that came with it look pretty bad!
