June 26, 200421 yr As with all your airplanes...simply amazing. Eventually I will learn how to work a russian language cockpit. Thats what keeps me from regularly enjoying your work but thats my own laziness!I will try this one for sure.Eric AND
June 26, 200421 yr Commercial Member Oh yes, that's another point. Tupolev Tu-114 has never been exported (even though it has been used by Japan Airlines some time, but still together with Aeroflot). Quite normal - this aircraft represented the power of the USSR. Do you imagine any other country representing the power of the USSR ? :) This means that the panel is in Russian. And it's not a default one ! We'll certainly supply a manual, like with our An-24RV package. But a little knowlege of cyrillic alphabet is mandatory (well, it's not a bad point for your general culture to learn it). http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/81612.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/81613.jpg
June 26, 200421 yr But a little knowlege of cyrillic alphabet is>mandatory Do you know anywhere on the Net that we can do this. ?I am still trying to decipher the Antonov AN-14 -- which is turning into my favourite low and slow a/c. Barry
June 26, 200421 yr Barry mate,It's pretty easy to learn Cyrillic. I can't speak much Russian, but do understand a bit (I speak Polish which is different, but...) Shouldn't take more than about 30 mins to learn how to read the basics.Try this: http://masterrussian.com/blalphabet.shtmlIt's a lovely language. Good luck mate!Gavin Gavin Barbara Over 10 years here and AVSIM is still my favourite FS site :-)
June 29, 200421 yr My Lord... I don't know what to say?!?!!!Best RegardsBoone,[email protected]"Flying a plane is no different from riding a bicycle. It's just a lot harder to put baseball cards in the spokes."
