747-200 panel--you have to see this

Yeah, Ed makes all kinds of really cool looking 2D panels. Don't get to excited though, he doesn't release them to the public. I think the reason being according to him is that, a. They are always a work in progress and b. He doesn't want to have to offer support for them. All of which is understandable, but they sure do look nice.

I am an avid VC user but would consider using 2D panels on occasion if I had some that looked like that. Of course the problem is, he uses a 3:4 monitor which the panels were designed for and wouldn't look right if your using a wide screen monitor.

I personally have thought he shouldn't be allowed to post his own edits since he doesn't have permission to share it with the community. These are community forums, and if he wants to show off what he made but will never share with anyone then he should post it somewhere else.

This is incredible. I don't keep up to speed on what is in the screenshot forum (I should!) but this is a must see...

It looks like a 3D panel with three views...is it really a 2D panal? Once I got use to 3D panel I use never use 2D anymore, ever.

Really?, Who cares? So if someone posts a view (showoff) of the desktop setup they shouldn't be allow to...maybe I am misinterpreting your view somehow.

Your desktop setup? What does that have to do with editing files created by other people in the first place? A community is about sharing, even if you charge money for it.

Say what? Whose permission? AVSIM's? Why shouldn't he post his own edits, whether he shares them or not? It is the screen shot forum after all. He's a LONG standing member of this community and has every right to share his workmanship here.

Ed's (MR Picasso's) panels are amazing,a true labor of love, and several thousand hours of editing involved!

If you like his screenshots you should check out his vids on youtube!

And those shots are from FS9. You can't have .bmp cockpit side views in FSX. Also, I am pretty sure Ed is a FS9 guy.

Interesting. How did he do that?

I would like the ability to add them mostly because there are a few aircraft (freeware) that I would fly if they had a VC or I could have a 2D with side views.

I personally want the fruits of Ed's labor, and since I can't have them, he shouldn't be able to show them off. I WANT IT! I WANT IT! I WANT IT NOW!!!

At least, that's what I think you said.

"No matter how eloquent you are or how solidly and firm you've built your case, you will never win in an argument with an idiot, for he is too stupid to recognize his own defeat." ~Anonymous.

It is certainly an interesting approach, but the way the flash/lighting looks in the photos and how it would never change would bother me.

Yeah, same here. Its crispy sharp, but the lighting/shadowing from the camera disturbs it a little.
