October 7, 201213 yr See this link to the article. It appears this addresses some crash problems we've experienced. http://forum.avsim.net/page/index.html/_/pri-news/microsoft-announces-update-for-flight-r739 Thank you. October 8, 201213 yr Good deal that the technical resources to accomplish this were available. And thank you, to those who made it possible. Also, having any issues on Win8 removed can't help but be a good thing. We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... October 8, 201213 yr They still haven't fixed the problem on Windows 8 where mission pointers don't show. Jehan Kateli
October 8, 201213 yr I guess this means they're not unfixing the prop torque that got fixed to something less better than it was before the last update (if that makes sense...). That's a shame, because I could ignore the trees to the runway thresholds and the mesh issues out along the Aleutian chain. That one... not so much, even though it is just a case off turning off(!) a realism setting. Never mind. At least they're prepared to fix the things that clearly made it unusable for a number of users. Mike Mike Dryden
October 8, 201213 yr They should try "fixing" all the cockpits they forgot to include with most of the planes they released, lol, some of the things Microsoft does you just have to laugh.

Mike ......who said they are done "fixing".?.......I'm sure they didn't start a beta just to fix an install problem. I'm still laughing about the FSX "flour bombing"in a flying tricycle...how lame.
October 8, 201213 yr erm... They did. See the report on the avsim front page. Fixed crashes, validation & compatibility. Nothing more. Mike Dryden

These comments are unnecessary. It is clearly stated that the update addressed some crash and Windows 8 problems. We don't need to get into another string of off topic "they should have done this or that" posts. Thanks for keeping this on topic. Thank you. I understand it is out already? where do I get it? do I need to download all again or will an update be pushed out via DLC? sorry for asking but I did not touch flight now for few months... October 8, 201213 yr erm... They did. See the report on the avsim front page. Fixed crashes, validation & compatibility. Nothing more. On the steam forums they were also openly talking about fixes to outstanding mesh problems as well. We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... Honestly, they didn't "forget" a thing. They made a deliberate and concious choice to release only exterior models for some of the aircraft. Fr. October 8, 201213 yr I think jymp was just being sarcastic. I doubt he was seriously expecting a cockpit fix. That`s why he said lol! Nice to see some fixes released though, no matter what they are for.
October 8, 201213 yr In my game, it seems like the game got less laggy for me. In Alaska, when there are a lot of trees, I seem to lag a lot less then I used to. Alex Leung Aerospace Engineering Undergraduate Glider & Private Pilot via Royal Canadian Air Cadets
