iPad mini

Featured Replies

Just got the iPad mini yesterday and I must say that I LOVE IT!! I really love the size....its amazing how it fits in your hands and how light it is. I only wish it had a Retina Display.

In my opinion its nothing more than an iPad 2! It pretty much packs the same hardware and resolution in it as the iPad 2...

Its smaller, its lighter. But to be honest I dont really see a 'need' to buy this, especially with it not having a Retina Display!

Same goes for the iPad 4, not really much of an improvement on that product either!

I am an all out 'Apple fan' but the hardcore fans might be offended by me saying this... I think the Microsoft Surface is a much better investment than an iPad! (Just saying).

The most amazing part of the iPad mini is its size and weight......Its really amazing!

Price is a little on the high side though.

This cracked me up!

is the screen size good enough for viewing Jeppesen charts compared to the regular iPad?

Real world CPL holder.

The the screen size is fine...I just wish it had Retina.

I visited the Apple Store in a local mall to try it out yesterday, and the first thing I did was look up a STAR I use regularly to see if it would look fine. When the chart loaded, I didn't have to zoom in any in order to read some of the smaller numbers, and it was very good size wise, I think it would be a great chart reader. I have a space constricted desk, and with what I saw yesterday, I am looking to get an iPad Mini for Christmas.

Not trying to steal any thunder, but I'd take a Nexus 7 over a mini in a heartbeat.

I think Apple are really struggling now, I watched the keynote for this and products launched recently and the first thing they said about this device is that compared to its bigger brother the Ipad 4, it is not a dumbed down smaller version. They then went on to say that it does not have the same retina display, same processor and graphics processor etc...

Also with the Imac, they were going on and on about how "magically thin" it was and yet they did not show one straight side on view because if they did everyone would see the big lump at the back of the device and realise that it is not as thin as they were making it out to be.

Im not in the market for a tablet right now but I simply fail to see why anyone would go for anything but the Microsoft surface, sure W8 has its flaws but as a tablet device its amazing.

It is obvious that the iPad Mini 2 or whatever it will be called will have a Retina display... MAYBE then I'll buy one.

Air France, do regular iPad apps work nicely on the Mini or are they scaled down with a button like iPhone apps?

Nope they work great! Want me to send you a picture of how an app looks? Let me know which app!

Nah it's cool, I trust you. :LMAO: It's because they have the same resolution, right?

Yea same resolution but a little more Pixels Per Inch.

This is just an alternative to another product they are selling. It won't be for everyone. Just chicks with handbags, and yes my GF wants one.

Handbags? Can most handbags accommodate both an iPad mini and a Paris Hilton style tiny doggie? :-)
