And the course heading was set? The NAV1 frequency was set?

Some ILS beacons are offset from the runway. Victoria is one IIRC. The course setting is not used in ILS Mode.

I'm a little confused. How can the Flight One registry repair tool fix runway alignments? I'm thinking you posted this in the wrong thread.... Maybe the one where the member refreshed Windows 8 and wiped out his registry settings for FSX.

Best regards,

Jim

To me this is a bug in FSX. I encounter it commonly. Sometimes it's to the right and sometimes to the left. The degrees vary from instance to instance. I've not used large commercial aircraft but GA type and light executive no matter the software. Most of the time it lines up fine and I know there are some legitimate offsets but it's always the same airports and the offsets are the same at those same places all of the time.

There is a fix for the CYYJ ILS, so it does line up with the runway.

Download the freeware CYYJ airport, it has the fix included.

Yes, some of the original FSX airports had Localisers that were several degrees out of alignment with their runways. I use AFX or AFCAD to fix these easily when I find them.

Was thinking off the offset on the nd display where its misaligned not in the above pic which looks like an offset ils approach

I am not sure of why but it has to do with how the add on processes the airport data.

People have found the issue commonly with the PMDg md11 and 747 yet the NGX doesn't have it.

The registry tool fixes the problem and it is recommended by the support forums as well.

It certainly worked for me.

Hi Will,

I'm still very confused about your comments and I don't want other members here to think your "solution" fixes the problem in the OP. The Flight One Registry tool only repairs the path in the system registry to the FSX program and has nothing to do with alignments to runways or addon processing of airport data.

Best regards,

Jim
