Warning about the new 310.70 drivers

Featured Replies

Wouldn't it be refreshing some day to read that the new NVidia Drivers have a positive impact on FSX? You see all these games listed on NVidia's site that claim it helps this game and that game...but never, I repeat, NEVER, does it list FSX as a program that is substantially improved, or that it was even TESTED. I wish that in in 2013 that NVidia puts some effort into drivers that have been tested and proved highly beneficial to our beloved hobby.

Oh well....I can only dream.

Real world CPL holder.

.....310.X crashes over & over again .... moved back to 306.97, & everything is back to normal again.

Happy new sim-year

well i could'nt get my game worked well even with returning back to 306.97 with overclocked.net's removing tutorial.

But i am going to get rid of these spikes, that's sure, i have 2 weeks of holiday now and i am going to spend all my time on this !!!

Talek, two things worked for me (you can try one or the either, or both); I'm only using option 2 at the moment and don't have any more spikes or stutters on my setup. 1) Enable Anisotropic Sample Optimization and Trilinear Optimization (and turning AF to "Quality"). 2) Running AA with AA_MODE_METHOD_SUPERVCAA_64X_4v12 and disabling transparency supersampling.

What kind of crash are you seeing?

I am hot off a HD reformat and installed 310.70. I have been getting the evil g3d.dll since.

Is this driver related?
