Warning about the new 310.70 drivers

Recommended Posts

Tried them didn't have any issues but FPS were definitely 5-6 FPS lower than any others pre 310.xx I personally have found the 304.xx series my favorite...

So how/where can I get older drivers from, for my GTX670 guys?

They are still available at Nvidia's site until the 301.34 for the GTX-600 series, and untill the 285.62 for the GTX-500 or lower here :

http://www.nvidia.co...nload/Find.aspx

PS: Some say you need this to remove them completely if you have some troubles :

I don't know, never did this.

Looks like some computers really do move in mysterious ways .........

You're right, this is not only a driver problem, or graphic card problem, something is weird on some computers ...

Why this driver doesn't work on 1/2 of computers and in the other half it works well ? We all have quiet same specs in FS community, a GTX and i5 or i7 2 or 3rd generation.

Software issue ? OS ? Or motherboard ? Can this be caused while mounting a rig, i mean, if we touch the graphic card protected area ... i remember having touched it accidentally about 10 seconds ... can this kind of little things can cause mysterious and little instabilities ? or am i paranoid ? lol

Not had any issues yet with 310.70's .... that I can determine. I have fiddled with Nvidia inspector though just change the settings. I didn't do a clean install, just ran them and allowed the update. I have done so many clean installs in the past thought I would just go the easier way for a change - so far so good...

Just installed them and all is well here.

Alain, perhaps you need another ion infusion on your NSX5.

Can't do it without raising the temp to an unsafe level, this technology is in is infantile state, not mature enought yet, ain't the one who will test this on a $9,599.00 mobo risking to see it melt... futher more, the NRC will not give their seal of approval on experimental testing, ain't talking about Chineese capacitor here...and there is other stuff I can't talk about.

The 310.70 drivers were my first drivers after upgrading from a GTX580 to a GTX680...no problems except maybe a bit of lag when first bringing a second display in clone mode, but generally it seems OK for FSX.

Installed the 310s last night and lost about 5-8 fps in Prepar3d. Did some tweaking in Nvidia inspector and could never hit a "sweet spot". So I rolled back to the 306.97.

Using MSI GTX 670 OC here with I7-3770k@4.6ghz and Windows 8.

A time ago i did a lot of tests with the X-Plane 10 demo.

I remember that after installing new drivers i had that problem to.

But i solved it by keeping the new drivers and a new install of XPX10 .

:Peace:
