FSLabs made the Concorde X less than 2 years, a less banal plane and at PMDG quality.

 

so why PMDG took 4 years to make simple planes compared to concorde x ??

aren't they working 5 days per week ? if not, they should (and at least 6 hours per day)

Not sure their addons make enough money to fund that kind of consistent development...maybe the more complex computer systems on a 737NG take longer to program realistically?

Yes the glass avionics require waaaaay more work then steam gauges...not really comparable you see?

 

And I do think they work a lot. Its not you place to question that anyway. They are a business so there is lots of work being done

I really think you so go back and vistit your question again.

 

1) PMDG took so long primarily because they developed a new development platform to which they can develop aircrafts more efficiently.

 

2) The PMDG 737NGX is by far one of the most accurate 737 simulations i have ever seen graphics and systems wise.

What a dumb topic. I can't believe I looked and responded. Anyway, if they could pound them out faster they would and we'd call them Captain Sim and be complaining about how they're not complete products and why do they have so many bugs that you can hardly complete a flight! PMDG is not making any money off a product while it's in development so don't you think they would put it out faster if they could? Don't pass the popcorn! I'm outta here!

They produce the best sim aircrafts. I am not going to question their methods or the way they do it. I want them to be successful so they can keep giving me amazing aircrafts.

 

I currently have their 737NGX, 747 and couple of more aircrafts to keep me busy... not even mentioning Real Air and other aircrafts including the recent Aerosofts Air bus Extended ...while they take 4 or even 5 years to produce their amazing product.

If we suppose that they will make planes 8 times faster by working 5 days/week and 10 hours/day

They'll make 1 plane every 6 months. So if i also suppose that they sold 300,000 per plane, it makes 300,000*70(the price)=21 000 000

21 million dollars every 6 months for nine guys !!! -

 

i calculated, it makes 400 000 dollars per month for each person

a real life pilot has only 5 000 dollars per month

PMDG do not make simple planes, they make quality! therefore if you want a quality product you have to wait. A really simple car takes days to build, a world class super car takes months. Same principle

Seriously? PMDG built an amazing plane (NGX) and I believe the 777 will be just as thrilling. PMDG is particular about quality- and they would rather take their time and deliver a high-grade product than rush it out the door only to have to listen to incessant crying and complaining about 'bugs'.

 

You're free to buy someone else's aircraft- but please, spare us the pain of sharing your disappointment and chagrin that "it's nowhere NEAR the quality and realism of the PMDG NGX!"

 

I would wait forever for PMDG, I wouldn't buy anyone else's plane. I'm just saying... Because when I install the PMDG and fire up the engines, I know I will love every moment. That's why I never ask for progress reports. When their products are ready, they will be offered for sale. Until then, for however long it might take, it's worth the wait and then some!

yeah 300 000 is too much i know.

ok let's say 100 000 (they are 100 000 active users in this forums, am i right ?)

even with 100 000 sold per plane they'll win more money than a real life pilot. (130 000 dollar/month)

I'm not sure where you came up with those numbers but they're a figment of someone's imagination. $21,000,000 in sales for one aircraft? You are joking right? BTW, most commercial pilots (at least in the US) make more than $5K/month. Some significantly more.
