December 27, 201213 yr Having just bought both Vienna and Dubai. I am shocked to discover that te jetways at these airports do not coincide with GSX. For me it drops the credibility of these airports and means I have to park on remote stands if I want to have GSX. Does anyone else find this odd?!

December 27, 201213 yr Have you tried the modify parking position function of gsx? Will Reynolds Flight Sim Addict
December 27, 201213 yr Moderator You can still use GSX and all its services at the gate. Just disable the GSX stairs so that they dont show up when you call for unboarding. Yes, the jetways are static so you have to pretend that they are attached, but considering what FlyTampa has produced through the years and what they did with Dubai and its city, I think they are very credible Unfortunately in the world of the sim, there will always be something that isn't perfect or the way we want. We should just consider ourselves lucky to have talented developers to make such wonderful addons for us to use in our make believe airline flights and not let the little things like a static jetway spoil our fun. December 28, 201213 yr Author Have you tried the modify parking position function of gsx? I have yes. At first I though that way of been the issue. Then I checked on their forum. It's a real shame to be honest. As they make amazing sceneries!
December 28, 201213 yr Commercial Member That they only support AES and have no intention to make any of their sceneries GSX compatible. GSX doesn't need any "support" from a scenery developer to work on a specific airport, it only needs a proper AFCAD file without errors. It's its main feature so, it will work on every past, present and future scenery. In addition to that, you can use the GSX customize airport feature, which is very easy to use, to better adapt GSX to any airport, so you can change several parameters like parking radiuses, the marshaller position (to fix any "marshallers inside buildings" problems) and even the individual starting point of vehicles, in order not to clash into static scenery objects. What GSX doesn't do, is to transform a scenery with fake jetways into a scenery with animated jetways. But you can at least use the GSX scenery customization page to tell which gates have such static jetways, so GSX won't create passenger stairs and the passenger bus there. The scenery customization page allows to select a group of parking, a whole terminal or even the whole airport and allows to apply changes to such parking parameters to many parking spots at once so, for example, if you know that a specific terminal has jetways on all stands, you can simply select all its parkings and enable the "has a jetway" parameter for all the selected parking at once, so this will be a fairly quick process. December 28, 201213 yr How can the jetways be static if AES works fine? If I'm not mistaken they are primarily modeled as static objects, but if you activate AES for LOWW, they will be somewhat replaced by AES's animated jetways. Florian

Everything else is fine. I just wanted working jetways. Not really too much to ask.
December 29, 201213 yr I am unable to get GSX to work on KOKC by Cavusim. This is the only available commercial scenery of KOKC, but no matter what I try GSX does not start at all in this scenery. I know that a registered GSX is supposed to work in every FSX airport scenery, but apparently I must be doing somewthing wrong? Still waiting for my registration to use their FSDT Support Forum so I can ask there, hoping someone has an answer here.
