February 13, 201313 yr PMDG claimed, [Don't hold me to it, maybe not an official statement] that their 777 will be on par, or a little bit better than the NGX performance, not sure if this has changed. However it's not just bad FPS on CS 777's behalf, but, it's extremely clunky, and a pain to operate, I'm at 4.6Ghz and I am struggling to go above 15FPS at default LAX. I've been in a situation on the VATSIM network where I was being vectored in for an ILS approach, and the controller gave me a specific heading to fly on, so I reached for the heading knob on the MCP. Lo and Behold the heading knob starting spinning around, in complete 360's. Do you know how embarrassing that is while connected? I think customers should be immune from this type of uncertainty factor. We should know that we can fly this aircraft without ever worrying about making it to our destination because of an issue that isn't the pilot's fault. This analogy goes for real world operations. You see how the 787 Teams were pressured to fix their issues? We should also pressure CS to fix their problems. Because let's face it, CS isn't going to do squat as long as they make money. Want proof? -Laughing- While we are struggling to keep the T7 under control CS has pushed out the 777 300, implying that they have been completely focused on another project while we can't even get or 200's airborne. Christ almighty. CS has a strategy to cope with customers' pressure and that's deleting posts in their own forum ... They have nothing to say relating to the performance and flight characteristics of their 777-300 "expansion" pack. To me it just looks like a piece of eye-candy, a LIVERY pack with additional animations but not like a new model! What happened to AVSIM
February 13, 201313 yr I don't understand why people keep giving Captain Sim second chances. We know how this works: they make a pretty good external model with promises of additional features down the line. They don't deliver and customers are disappointed again. Rinse and repeat.

We know how this works: they make a pretty good external model with promises of additional features down the line. They don't deliver and customers are disappointed again. Rinse and repeat. I bought cs 777 for 60 euros today, NO landing gear, plane floating on tarmac. thier piracy denial tool is making the plane unusable for many who have purchased it legally, and still they dont remove the stuff. Anyone still wanting to give CS another chance like me, there you have it fresh from today, 60 euros = no landing gear. Its in interest of the sim that somebody set some standard on the level of crap that is acceptable, and pls dont mention it works for some, saying stuff like that only encourages more crap your way. Now on verge of putting cs and abacus in the same "bin it" category
February 13, 201313 yr Never had any problems with landing gear, floating plan etc etc... Never had issues with the 757 exept for the dome lighting. Never had issues with the 767... February 13, 201313 yr Does anyone know how to use the JB777 panel with Capt Sim 777.. Its a pain only having VC and the JB panel is very good.. and easy to use.. Any help would be very useful.. Thanks Bobj
February 13, 201313 yr I am starting to think that PMDG 777 release is near so someone pays them to talk bad about CS 777 Sorry, PMDG hasn't paid me (so far ...). But I paid for the 777 Captain - too many bugs, too little completion in v1.0 ... What happened to AVSIM
February 13, 201313 yr I am starting to think that PMDG 777 release is near so someone pays them to talk bad about CS 777 This is exactly what I mean. Either everyone is stupid and doesn't know how to work the systems or they are paid people from other addon companies. There are no real bugs with CS airplanes, it's all just propaganda! I am starting to think you're one of the many CS trolls who come on here to talk about how great CS is. There used to be a big problem years ago.

Now on verge of putting cs and abacus in the same "bin it" category On online activation you have to pay close attention when entering your order number (or whatever CS requests here - I don't remember exactly). Don't put any additonal characters in there - not even a space character. Then the online activation works and you get your landing gear as well. But I stick to my own posts - v1.0 is too buggy and too far away from completion ... What happened to AVSIM

Look at this ridiculous work around just to fix a buggy fmc with TOD in the 767... http://captainsim.or...?num=1353614647 And another bug, direct to waypoints http://captainsim.or...?num=1354503919 Look what you have to do to the 737 just to get it to fly in a realistic manner http://captainsim.org/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1359400401 There also is a huge user edit for the 727 because it is also very unrealistic.
February 13, 201313 yr Author Is there are trial for this product so I can check before spending money? Büke Yolaçan

There used to be a big problem years ago. So would you mind telling how to (refering to the 777 Captain v1.0): ... engage the VNAV correctly (no fix! I want the correct operation!) ... get a proper LOC indication when on downwind ... get the correct speed marks onto the speed tape in the PFD ... get the correct representation of ARPT and STA in the ND ... get the correct EICAS messages appearing ... get the ALTN page of the CDU working ... get the proper T/D calculated ... get the correct arrivals added to the flight plan legs ... etc ... Is there are trial for this product so I can check before spending money? There is no free demo of the 777. Other demos of CS aircraft: They are the versions without activation - no landing gear and flight controls locked ... What happened to AVSIM
February 13, 201313 yr My post was sarcasm, CS has too many bugs and they ignore user input and barely test their airplanes.

Now on verge of putting cs and abacus in the same "bin it" category Have had the plane for some time, never saw any problem with 'piracy denial', you buy it, you register it, it works. Also haven't seen an issue with landing gear since the early pre-release days, if you really paid all that money for it why aren't you opening a support ticket on the CS web site? These topics tend to just devolve into useless talking past eachother. I totally get the frustration, I find it bizarre that this thing can't load properly without first loading the default, none of their earlier stuff needed that, but the release version starts with no hydraulics if you don't. So, ya, I think they deserve to get reamed over this. BUT, after saying that, I've owned the Wilco 777 for many years, and THAT piece of crap has never flown correctly, and they've never even made the slightest effort to correct anything. The CS already flies better than that, and unlike Wilco they at least have some forward motion in improving things. If I didn't want to fly a 777 now I'd wait for the PMDG, but the CS is still a better choice than anything else, true I've not tried a true 12 hour long haul flight maybe that would be frustrating, but I've completed shorter flights with it, its got problems but so far I've been able to work with/around them. When PMDG finally gets theirs out the door there will be no more reason to fly this but until then its been better than nothing. Jack F. Vogel, Delta Virtual Airlines
