Orgasmic 777 sound!

Featured Replies

Orgasmic? Hmmm..I'm not sure about that. Way cool...absolutely.

Long roll for a 77W...so close to a full power takeoff on a long mission. That's VERY cool. Worth a cigarette...not for me though. My cardiologist would shoot me.

I don't know, PW's dependable engines have a pretty nice ring to it as well.

Over 10 years here and AVSIM is still my favourite FS site :-)

Not sure about this "Orgasmic" adjective, but there is definitly Arrr Arrr Raw power from the T7s.

However my vote goes for Dc-10 and MD-11 start up and takeoffs. Starting up the Md11 in the PMDG sim is awesome. The really low rumble vibrates my room.

And takeoffs have a heck of a lot of raw power. It just wants to go! Passenger fighter jet.

Sorry, but I don't get it... I enjoy the new jets as much as anyone, but come on, it sounds like a Zanussi washing machine. Now, a DC3, that's a sound to get off on...

I still for the life of me can't understand why A2A or someone hasn't produced an FSX version of this wonderful, iconic aircraft...

One thing I never understood is how the GE's have this heavy sound on start up but then they are super quiet on idle while the PW's on the other hand are very quiet on start up that builds into their signature whine.

Here's a nice video of an A340

Now, that sounds nothing like a Zanussi washing machine.... more like a Hotpoint dishwasher!
