Flight Toolkit - Public Beta!

Strangeness. I posted a topic regarding this in the official Steam forum but the forum I reach from my computer and the one I see on my iPad are subtly different. In one, my subject is visible and in the other..... not, apparently. Very odd.

The only difference I can see is that in one I am logged into my account and in the other, not.

Edit: Ok. Apparently the fancy steam app is evil and takes you to an alternate mirror site within steam that does not quite have all the same posts.

We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically.

Wow, over 1K views already in this topic, this is great to see!

I look forward to at the least being able to download and use some of these liveries, maybe one day I can learn to do one- never been much good in the paint department.

It is times like this, it is a pain having to travel for a living...

Fantastic effort, Stonelance. Thank you. It is great to see some excitement in the Flight Forum again!

Always remember to Find Your FUN!

Ok just installed the addon manager, worked great for me, very simple and easy to use!

I downloaded both Hughes' CC Deluxe livery ( ported from basic), and also Luis' Aloha livery for the icon.

Looking forward to getting some airtime with my new paint jobs! Thanks for sharing these guys, and again huge thanks to Stonelance for putting the effort into this program, and Luis for sharing the info and undoubtedly encouraging Stonelance with his enthusiasm and passion for Flight!

Thanks for trying that livery, Don. That was the first version, but maybe if Stonelance has the time, he could also put the second version on his downloads page:

I think it's a lot nicer! B)

Best regards.

I'm going to keep trying to get the toolkit to work. I had it working up until a couple of updates ago, and now it has lost all my associations and won't save any templates that I can open. I just went through my C: and D: drives and removed anything that I could tell that had to do with the toolkit and now I'm going to try and reinstall the newest version.

Thank you.

Rick

Man, that is slick. I downloaded the Basic Cubs.Zip file from Hughes. Clicked on it and the Flight Addon manager popped up. I ticked the box and I now have 4 paint schemes in the hanger instead of 2, like magic. Thanks every one.

Sounds good to me, that one does look nice!

Thanks!

Sorry Luis, it is up on the website now.

Got it, thanks!

Looks great Luis, thanks for sharing!

Stonelance - I currently am only using the addon manager part of the toolkit, so far for me it seems to be working flawless. While there is no progress indicator, the liveries I have added with it seem to add quickly and I have not had any unusual messages, all got added into my Flight program without a hitch.

Thanks again for your efforts on this, great tool! Perhaps one day I will learn to paint as well.

Dang this new toy and I have to travel next week, y'all have fun and I look forward to seeing the progress when I get back.

I wonder if REX should know this...

I wonder if REX should know this...

While no tool is needed, it is currently possible to modify core game textures. So in theory, it is very possible for REX to make a Flight REX. (minus water shaders, I'm thinking, as the format is not plain text now.)
