March 11, 201313 yr Since running the FLight 1 utility http://www.flight1.com/files/FSXML.zip to correct my FSX LVLD I am unable to run my 747's and MD-11. The 'options.dll file error' keeps denying my access. Please help? George T
March 11, 201313 yr Get a support ticket, and attach your FSX.xml file. PMDG have fixed this issue for me before. Best support out there Jesse Casserly ✌🏼️ https://www.youtube.com/user/JesseCasserly757 💻 i7-10750H 2.6 GHz / 5.0 GHz, 16GB DDR4, 512GB SSD, 1TB HDD, RTX 2080 Super Saitek X-56 HOTAS
March 11, 201313 yr You could also try to remove any reference to the PMDGOptions.dll from your FSX.cfg and start FSX, choose a PMDG aircraft and let it load the dll file for you again. Joona Väisänen
March 11, 201313 yr FSX.xml file I believe that would be your appdata\Microsoft\Flight Simulator X\Dll.xml file? Iv' seen the LVLD installer, amongst others, totally wack the dll.xml file, I keep, I say I keep a spare for just such an occasion.
March 11, 201313 yr There's advice on how to fix this on their website. You can, as noted above, open a ticket and send the xml.dll file to Ryan. He's fairly responsive that way. Doug Orvis PP-ASEL-IA (USA), Based at KHEF Picture courtesy of Kyle Rodgers
March 11, 201313 yr This is the relevant PMDG Support Desk article for those who wish to troubleshoot personally.
March 13, 201313 yr I'm still stuck in this error after having PMDG send a new dll.xml and also trying repairs / re-installs on the product. I'm a bit baffled and an my next step will be uninstalling add-ons that share the .xml to see if there's something else messing with this. I also want to comment that I believe there's something subtly screwy going on with Windows 8 (besides joystick disconnects). Things just seem to change for no reason. Back to the topic - if anyone can save me from doing 1-at-a-time uninstalls for troubleshooting, please shoot me a tip. Bob Bob Donovan - KBOS
March 13, 201313 yr Commercial Member Bob, I don't think it was me that looked at your file - send the dll.xml in a ticket again and I'll look at it. Corruption of that file is the only way this error happens by the way - there's no other way. Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
March 13, 201313 yr On its way Ryan and glad to hear it still may be the file. Might save me tons of time. Bob Donovan - KBOS
March 13, 201313 yr Author A big thank you to Paul Golnick of PMDG customer support. I followed the advise given on here and now everything is sorted. PMDG are TOPS! George T
March 27, 201511 yr I also got this error, when I put in a ticket they directed me here due to being on Windows 8
March 27, 201511 yr Windows 8 is not supported by PMDG. Could you post the content of the dll.xml file? And you need to sign your post with full name to get support here, it is a forum rule. Stian Beinset ENML

March 27, 201511 yr Can't see anything wrong with your DLL.XML file. Maybe it is the newline characters problem described in this link: http://support.precisionmanuals.com/kb/a92/dll_xml-information-and-troubleshooting.aspx Look under "problem 1 - newline characters", try it out and see if it helps. Be sure to back up the file before modifying it. Stian Beinset ENML
March 28, 201511 yr Same here, I looked over it pretty close but waited for someone else to vote the same way. Thanks Stian! Neil, you might have to start removing the addons until the problem clears. Dan Downs KCRP
