A 400+ seater 777 from Boeing!

Featured Replies

I read an article in the New York Times that Boeing is going ahead with plans for 2 new 777's to be delivered by 2019 and 2021. The 2019 delivery will be a 400+ seater 777 with new engines and more composites and a slightly different wing, and the 2021 delivery a 350 seater 777 with new engine and more composites.
Should be interesting, they are going to the board early next month for approval and Emirates has expressed great interest already. If this goes through its gonna be a big cost savings for airlines if they can operate the 777 instead of the 747's and A380's (all though I do love the 747's).

Remy Mermelstein
777-300 FS Pilot

Mostly used on pilgrimage flights to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. UAE also run this sector on their 380s. Went on UAE803 to OEJN with A6-EDH last year. I believe it's the shortest 380 flight in the world.

It will keep PMDG busy for the foreseeable future, then.

Don't tell this to Japan Airlines or ANA as they will ask for a 777D version to cram 500 seats inside to replace the long lost 747-400D a.k.a the domestic sardine can.

Get the A380 then and do all economy. U could cram way over

500 people that way providing they can approve it.
