March 13, 201313 yr Thought you all would appreciate that in the mean time (-; That's absolutely spectacular Luke!.... I'm so Jealous  Lionel
March 13, 201313 yr But these are real world images.Yes but the camera used to take those pictures alters the colors due to exposure. Lots of discussions about this, especially concerning the NGX vs real world pictures. A lot of people argued the cockpit lighting in the NGX wasn't realistic because it didn't match pictures from airliners.net. The truth is it's 100% realistic and the pictures on airliners.net have altered colors from the cameras used. AJ Pongress
March 14, 201313 yr If you compare the standby instruments on the United 777 200ER video (0.28s) from above and the latest PMDG teaser picture shown on facebook https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=534898336549955&set=pb.165758250130634.-2207520000.1363220078&type=3&theater you can clearly see that at least on the standby instruments is still room for graphical improvement. It looks like the artificial horizon almost touches the "base of the metal case" of the display in the video and also the altimeter and speed roses seem to be bigger, less centered and sitting on the "base of the instrument". You can also check out these pictures: http://www.airliners.net/photo/Emirates/Boeing-777-21H-ER/0130129/L/&sid=be977087f55ed467cd34b2045538c0b0 http://www.airliners.net/photo/Lauda-Air/Boeing-777-2Z9-ER/0271398/L/&sid=be977087f55ed467cd34b2045538c0b0 But maybe I am tooooo picky. Roland Schmalzl

March 14, 201313 yr Ok number gurus does it mean it will now be released on the 216th day of the year which is August 4th lol. Keep them boys coming and maybe Luke Pabari can breathe a tad easier now. Did you happen to notice the elevation on the FlapSecondaryTest.jpg 5:80 May 8+5=13...... 5 is the fifth month may 5 2013 just observing with a little fun it looks like that elevation and baro is similar to CYYZ.

I wouldn't worry about it too much until it's in your simulator. I got OCD when they didn't put "Speed Brake" on the lever - they put "SPD Brake" instead, but they've fixed it without anyone saying anything. I'm sure if something is too wrong with the Standby Instruments one of the testers will point it out. Or maybe even my video could help! All about that beautiful integrated gauge though ;-) - Luke Pabari
March 14, 201313 yr Kind request - can anybody place pictures u are talking about into this topic?, i have no access to facebook, so cannot admire what u can. Artur

March 14, 201313 yr As far as the altitude reading (320. 160, etc..) ...this is similar to what they did when the NGX was about to be released. They showed a plane about to land, and every few days it would be closer to the ground. Gentlemen....me thinks we will be seeing a lot of 777s flying "cross the pond" next weekend!! :Drooling: Or maybe not....lol Ron Priever

They showed a plane about to land, and every few days it would be closer to the ground. They released a flight deck picture on March 6th. That was seven days ago. In seven more days will it be 0 or what ever land elevation the airport they are using is at!?! All these theories we are trying to come up with is quite funny ^_^
March 14, 201313 yr Commercial Member But these are real world images. So is this, but I had to apply numerous corrections to get the actual photo the camera took to look more normal because my white balance was off. Just because a camera takes it doesn't mean it's what it should look like in the real world. Even so, it's still not perfect. The ramp color is still a little more saturated than it should be, but I compromised to get the red on the tail to "pop." Here's an example of how white balance being "off" can affect an image: ...and I think the word the guys were looking for earlier was "oversaturated." Overexposed would be loss of highlight definition, which isn't really the case in that picture. Kyle Rodgers
