  • Greg is just on the verge of pulling the trigger on this new AI Traffic program for X-Plane. It will be right around $25. It does work in the new 64bit version of X-Plane, which was really important

Thanks all for the comments.  I don't think the plugin was controlling the Carenado Cessna.  Do you have X-Plane AI traffic turned on?  I think it's X-Plane doing that.  You should either turn X-Plane

  • Your right Greg.  I did have X-Plane traffic working.  I will fix that. I just put the manual on my Nook reader, so I will be going over it closely.  I can't read these things on the computer screen

Awesome, I'm going to try this out after work. Been waiting for this for a long time now. Thanks for letting us know.

I've been sitting at KSEA watching aircraft take off, land and taxi.  They taxi much better than FSX.

Later he will add random flightplans for each airport, but now I believe you will have to make them and set up your aircraft to taxi at other airports other than KSEA.

But it is a start on something that I have really wanted to see in X-Plane.  I'm a happy camper.

this seams so awesome. but i wish there was more airlines and less military. i hope u can add this easily

From what I read, you can add any aircraft that you want to use.

Also after watching it at KSEA, it looks like it was using some of my payware aircraft and many default aircraft.

One of my Carenado Cessnas was going up the taxi way with the parking cones on either side escorting it.

Looks like a great tool and a basis for a world traffic addon. Now it needs someone to compile all those flight plans + all the random GA traffic.

Thanks all for the comments.  I don't think the plugin was controlling the Carenado Cessna.  Do you have X-Plane AI traffic turned on?  I think it's X-Plane doing that.  You should either turn X-Plane AI traffic off or set the option to allow World Traffic to control multiplayer aircraft on.  What this does is load generic planes in place of the X-Plane aircraft which follow the World Traffic-controlled aircraft so that your TCAS will work with these planes.

The World Traffic app controls X-Plane object files and not standard X-Plane aircraft since there is a 20 aircraft limitation and also they don't support very much of the animation that I wanted.  There are only a few aircraft included so far with the app but I plan to get a 737 and a A-320 ready by release time and a more comprehensive airliner package available later (will include paint kits). People are free to create their own aircraft as well.  There is a section in the manual on how to modify aircraft object files to work with the application so that all of the animations work.

I'm really excited about having AI in X-Plane.  This is going to be great....finally.

I'm enjoying World Traffic as well. What a blast I've been having playing with it. There's still a lot left for me to learn. I also placed a copy of the doc on my iPad so that I can read at night before going to bed. Gotta let it all soak up before I sleep, hehe. I love how there's so much you can do, you're not only limited to planes, you can have cars, helicopters, boats, as well. It's fun adding traffic and seeing your airport come to life.

From what I understand, it doesn't come with real world flightplans and you have to make your own?

Would it be possible for one of the producers of AI traffic addons to convert their flighplan database to this program?

That's on my to-do list for the next release, to make some converters to convert the most popular FSX flight plan format to the World Traffic flight plan format.  Also I plan to get a random flight plan generator in there.

Sounds Awesome.  Look forward to see where this go's. Another factor in favor of moving to X-Plane in the future,
