I puchased off the link from the products page at MilViz and got a Flight1 wrapper.  Where should I look for the service pack?  The link on that site appears to still be the SP1 version from late summer.

What you have is the new installer package. We never release "updates" as such; we release a new installer containing all of the necessary files.

If you purchased it from the AVSIM Store, you need to go to www.x-plane.org and contact Nicholas there. He was our store manager and has all the information regarding purchases here.

So is the link via the Buy Now icon off your site the way to get the new release? The download link is titled "MV-B-55-SP1.zip". OneBob referred to a file named "milviz_B55_v_2U.zip"

I am in the same boat, having purchased the B55 from the AVSIM store on 17 August 2012. Nicholas is unable to help with the new installer, as he has no access to Milviz files now. I would be most grateful for your help in finding a way of getting the update.

Can we update overtop, or should we first delete from Aircraft folder then install?

Over top is fine , take note there are new .cfg's installed that will overwrite repaints and panel mods , if there are no RXP units installed you my not notice any changes aside strobe effects not penetrating the cockpit in DX 9 .

I have not had an opportunity to download the new file yet.  Any idea if this lighting issue was corrected?

Isn't it somewhat of a problem in common with your Cessna C310R? (see images below).  Which is even more severe!  Both appear to be on the geometric plane of the instrument panel, and perhaps associated with the landing lights?  By the way the gear is up in these screen shots.  The C310R shots show a characteristic I have found when flying from west to east and from daylight, into dusk, then into darkness.  The issue gets progressively worse until the light forward of the C310R gets so intense it washes out the scenery ahead of the airplane for as far as the eye can see.  BTW, this is not Alaska.  I have total repeatablilty on this issue.  My PC specs are in my sidebar, and I note that other users have reported these or highly similar issues.  In fact the B55 image above is not mine.  It is borrowed from another user.  I have three of my own B55 issues I can post if desired.

 

The B55 issue is usually seen from the spot plane view or tower view, but not at all times.

 

Will the upcoming King Air share the same code?
 

 

 

Should have pointed out that the C310R issue has bridged my migration from a Radeon 6750 1 GB to the EVGA nVidia GTX560TI 4GB that I now have installed, so that should conclusively eliminate video card characteristics in regard to the C310R,  i.e. the issue was present with both vidcards.  I did not add the B55 until after that migration.

 

It is over 90 days since I documented both mine and other users mention of these issues via PM on the Milviz site, so its now time to put it out there.
