April 13, 201313 yr Somebody needs to shutdown their PC and go outside for a little while. Unless AVSIM is auditioning for The Next Great Admin, which if that's the case, then I take back my post. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD Wish I could Efrain but as "either" my replaced hip went out yesterday or I have blown a disc in my lower back sitting on the sciatic causing pain in the hip (Surgeons can't come to a consensus which is causing the pain yet) I am stuck in the house right now. It sucks... Otherwise I would be enjoying the 60 degree weather on the east coast and be out on the bike! Big thanks to You and Steve moderating my moderating though :Big Grin:  Paul Solk Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk

April 13, 201313 yr . Luke, you are right :-) for too automated I meant too futuristic vs 747, but maybe I'm wrong. However, I've never flown in manual mode for whole trip, I'll get crazy  I am still very much in love with the Queen and looking forward to V2. I usually try to hand fly all of my flights to the top and from the top down. It can be a lot of fun especially with some good weather. Thanks, Ron Thanks, Ron Fields

April 14, 201313 yr If the T7 is out by July, i'd say the 747-400 2.0 should be out maybe one year later. April 14, 201313 yr I think once the 777 is released you will learn to fall in love with it like u did withthe 747, and when you have just of had about enough of flying the T7 the 747 will be near completion. Time will go by faster thank you think
April 14, 201313 yr Commercial Member I did not think really so late! I waited for the 747 because the 777 will be too automated, although it will be a great product as always. But the 747 inspire me the most. I thought within the end of 2013, but I doubt. The 777 and 744 are actually very similar airplanes... probably the most similar in Boeing's fleet (excluding the 777 / 787 comparison). There's a couple minor manual things you do in the 400 (involving engine starts and fuel tank configuration) but by and large they're very similar cockpits and SOPs. I'm not going to speculate at all on the 744v2 release timing other than to say that the fact that a 777 is so similar (compared to an NG say) that I think this will tend to shorten the development time. The 777 models and VC are done and those developers are already working on the 744 models. Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
April 14, 201313 yr Thanks for the update Ryan. I keep checking the forums waiting patiently, one day we'll get the announcement! Jon Preston
April 14, 201313 yr Hello everyone, I'm sorry if this question has already been asked and answered, but will the 747 v2.0 contain a completely new exterior and vc or only just new systems? Thank you anyways. - René Mosek - Future Owner Of: 'The PMDG 747-400 V3' B)

April 14, 201313 yr Oh I forgot about the DC-6 ha! So you won't buy the 777 because it's too automatic? Will you be flying the 747 manually for the entire flight then? In-fact in the 777 makes the pilot life easier - I've never heard one complain about it! You can have a failure and the aeroplane fix itself and you won't know until you're on stand at your destination. So it's not too automated - it's too smart (-; You're talking to me, dude??? ;-) I got a T7 for hand-flying already (LOL!); can't wait for PMDG to release their DC-6!!! ;-)) What happened to AVSIM
April 14, 201313 yr hope the doctors sort you out soon..must be driving you crazy. best wishes steve Thank you very much Steve! One thing to be in pain another to not even be able to pinpoint what is causing it... Thank you again, greatly appreciated! Paul Solk Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk
