This surprised me a little bit (Actually allot). According to the latest demographic survey, it doesn't look like X-Plane 10 is being adopted as well as participation in the section may suggest. I would have thought the numbers would have taken a big boost compared to last year!

Yes, interesting to see X-Planer10 on par with, LM Prepar3d. Just like you, I thought it was doing better.

You're both overlooking one thing. This survey is being conducted on a website who's user base predominantly favors MS flight simulators. X-Plane occupies a tiny portion of the this website. The same survey over at the org might paint a different picture. It all depends on where and who you poll,

LOL, I even overlooked that the survey was taken at all (as I ususally only look into the X-Plane section of the forum) ... so, you can add +1 to XP10 :lol:

I don't think those numbers represent reality at all. Avsim should have posted a topic regarding the survey in the XP forum.

I'm an X-Plane only user and I don't go to Avsim's main page, I always go directly to XP forum.

Since your survey included XP then I think Avsim could have considered the XP community as well by posting a notice here. There are probably many of us that didn't know Avsim was conducting a survey.

I did fill the survey long ago. It was announced at the main Forum page.

 

There is also a growing community of LM Prepar3d users, and there are a lot less posts at that forum, as well as for example at the DCS forums...

 

I continue to believe there are more X-Plane users in the World than LM Prepar3d.

Well, you guys need to start smelling the roses outside of the X-Plane forums. You are missing a tremendous amount of news, features and activities. And, we are not going to double or triple post material in the X-Plane forum (or any forum for that matter) just to ensure you see it.

Still I think that many agree if this survey was done at XP forums the XP to FSX ratio would be opposite of what it is here.
