June 12, 201312 yr Commercial Member I don't like console gaming (only play games on the PC) so I won't be getting either of them. Although, I'd get the PS4 if I were to get one of them. Microsoft's gaming department needs a new manager. Brandon Filer
June 12, 201312 yr Author Microsoft needs a new CEO. First Aces closing, then Flight, next Windows 8, now XBOX. How much more stuff can this guy ruin. I don't want to even start with the development tools side of things and the dysfunctional way in which departments at MS work with each other. Windows 8.1 (Blue) will be another failure in their narcissistic approach of moving customers to their way of thinking. Give people what they're asking for and not dictate what you think they should have and policing their every move. June 12, 201312 yr Commercial Member Microsoft was fine until Bill Gates left. I wish he'd step back up and fix things. He actually knew what was going on around his company. I doubt Steve ever even knew that Microsoft Flight existed. And even still, what happened with Flight is not directly Steve's fault anyway (indirectly, probably). We all know the name of the individual who ran it into the ground... I don't wish to get into a battle regarding Windows 8 here, but I will say that 8.1 will essentially finish what the RTM should have been. While there are some aspects of the operating system that were not done well, overall it is a very nice platform on the inside (lots of code clean up and much needed optimizations). The 'Modern UI' (Metro) is not bad at all once you actually use it, and 8.1 will be improving some things about it. I still don't use Apps myself...only the Start screen for launching desktop programs, which it is very nice for. In reality, it does not lack any of the functionality that the classic start menu had. June 12, 201312 yr Microsoft needs a new CEO. +1 Steve Ballmer is killing Microsoft! My system of choice will definitely be the PS4, I've about had it with MS. The PS4 is cheaper in the long run also, as MS have a tendency to charge you for minor silly things for example: you have to pay to play the game that your friend lent you to play it on your system. You cant play used games (PS4 can). Its little things like that, that really show what Microsoft's main focus is!

June 12, 201312 yr If I was in the market for a console I would get PS4 as well. Imagine that, being able to buy, sell, trade, lend, or keep a game, what a novel idea. Matthew Kane I'm Dyslexic, what's an error to you is not to me
June 12, 201312 yr I truly think MS has decided to kill off the Xbox division; nothing else rationally explains their plans for Xbone.
June 12, 201312 yr it looks like xbox 1 comes with a "Gun to your head" So much security on it

June 13, 201312 yr Personally I'm not into console games; but if I was in the market I'd select the PS4.
