Can anyone recommend to me an AI traffic addon, also the pros an cons? Payware is accepted.

There are a lot of reviews around of the various programs.  I think they all work well in FSX and give you a sense of immersion in the Flight Simulator.  I personally use MyTrafficX only because it's the best.

I too use My Traffic X and find it good. Having said that, I have never used any other AI program and so cannot compare.

I have just switched from TrafficX (so not MyTraffic) to UT2 and I like it better frameratewise. Also the models in general are better looking than those of TrafficX, where most are ugly.

TrafficX is no longer being developed, and with UT there still are flightplan upgrades (some free, some paid)

 

The traffic sliders work different from those in FSX, so I still need to find my sweet spot, but overall i'm really happy with the switch. Also because AI fly real routes, and not just direct line between dep and arr airports.

Using the search function once in a while can help.

I use MyTraffic 5.4 (i think it's currently the 5.4b release, not sure, though), and I like it. While of course the models are not really beautiful it gives me crowded airports and skies, which is all I want. I don't really care if the registration number of every airplane is unique (i think the only addon capable of doing that is Ultimate Traffic 2) and if it the absolutely same type operates on a certain route, as long as the general immersion is there (which certainly is, unless you feel the need for setting your sliders to more than about 40% - some weird flights above that value, in order to get large airports even more crowded), and as longas performance is OK.

Having had a bad experience (erformace-wise) with UT2, I use MTX exclusively on my computer, but be aware that this differs from system to system. As far as I know UT2 is sold by Flight1 via their wrapper system which gives you the oppportunuty to return it within 30 days with no questions asked, so that's a great plus for UT2, and I think that JustFlight's policy is quite similar (not so sure about that, though). Also keep in mind that there's no such thing as an "ultimate Ai traffic solution", you'll get as many opinions as there are users! And I agree with Suanru, there's loads of these topics already - more or less on a weekly basis -, so just go back a few pages or search the forums for "AI traffic". Try UT2, see if you like it. If not, return it.

Then try Mytrafficx 5.4. He doesn't have a refund policy so try it last.

 

I personally like UT2 because I can just set it at 100% and know I'm seeing realistic levels of traffic, the models look the best, and I get the best FPS with it.

Bear in mind with UT2, that updated schedules by Flight 1" seem to have come to and end. You can add your own in UT2, but why buy a product that you have to do all the hard work yourself. Not all airlines are covered, and not much if not at all in the cargo and military AI.

And again, you have to add yourself. If you don't want to go down that tweaking road, go for MTX.

One of things I hated the most about UT2, was the ai aircraft would pop into my parking position during push back, and that was only after pushing back about 6 feet, ruined the realism for me.

I started with FSX default, then World of AI, the UT2, then My Traffic X Professional 5.4b.  None are perfect. I gradually went back to UT2. 

 

It was primarily because loading of My Traffic aircraft took about 3 minutes on my system.  I also find it easier to add and delete air craft with UT2.  So, I can replace the default FSX aircraft that UT2 uses for its flight plan with FPS sensitive aircraft. 

 

I don't get hung on flight plans and aircraft paint schemes being authentic.

 

In any event, I thnk both UT2 and My Traffic X Pro are both excellent choices, so take boncie's recommendation.
