You have to "purchase" the MV737 and then register into the forum and then get special access before you can enter the "support" forum.

Milviz has several aircraft that require this.

Why go to the forums if you are returning the MV737?

Hi all,

Here is the clean VC texture set.

This may have errors and or discontinuities with the original set and will deffo have those with the night lighting.  These will not be repaired (or supported).

Hi all,

Here is the clean VC texture set.

Sold!

Thanks,

Dirk.

Forgive for seeming to out of the loop here, but what exactly is the reference to SP177 and SP77? Have I missed something?

Please, don't shoot me down for merely asking.

The SP77 and SP177 are the two different autopilot models, that come with this plane.

The SP77 is very basic (it's similar to the AP fitted to the Coolsky DC-9), and the SP177 is heading a little more towards the AP that is fitted in the later 737s (300-900s).

Both are currently using default FSX logic, so no custom features (eg no FLCH) but MilViz are developing a custom autopilot that will be added to the product in due course.

I seem to recall a KC-10 vs KC-135 project idea suggested on the Milviz forum a while back.  How did that pan out?  Is one of those projects slated to eventually go forward?   Either way you have a potential DC-10 or 707 for the classic jetliner fans.

Thank you, very much,Dave, for that in-depth explanation. I'd seen reference to it in your post and wondered what you and others were talking about. Now clear.

As I have only been flying the Cargo version, to get the hang of this aircraft, I take it the SP77 is in the other variants?

Yes, I had read no FLCH for now but to be hot-fixed later.

There is a config utility that comes with the add-on and you can choose whether you want the SP77, or the SP177 combined with FMC.

... (but you cannot have the SP77 with FMC :().

Thanks again, for that, Dave. One learns so much from you gurus! Everyday. I'm so glad I for once followed reading up on all the positive things said about this plane and developer here, and bought it. Wish they'd do something like an FMS option for door openings instead of having to use the Shift+E+1,2,3,4.

In the interest of complete accuracy, aside from the single FSX ALT HOLD function, the rest of the SP77 is all custom code.

No FS default product has ever modeled CWS (control wheel steering).

My apologies Bill.  Thanks for clarifying on that.   The CWS indeed works flawlessly.  Loving the SP77!

I have now created a set of "cleaner" vc textures. However, two things:

1) these will not be supported in any way and may, in fact, not match up exactly with what's there now... so be aware!

2) we will not be changing the night lighting to match the clean textures.... so there will be a small disconnect between the two.

1) Do you have a screen shot of the new, "cleaner " version 3D cockpit?

2) If we opt for the clean cockpit and find problems, is it possible to delete and reinstall the aircraft to its original version ( worn) without having to purchase the aircraft again ?

3) Forgive me if this has been answered previously. Are the two AP systems SP77 and SP177 (w/FMC) interchangeable in some sort of equipment list option much like the 737 NGX provides ?

Thanks for all your help
