August 4, 201312 yr I would also love a milviz 747! Show me the preorder button! Or even better, dash 8 100
August 4, 201312 yr I can recall sitting through one standard FULL IRS alignment on another payware(s).Since then I have opted for FAST alignment(s).Here, the APU is fast ... I noticed it but, .... with me,it is OK.Now, on a three hour flight I like to watch all the systems work properly (that is real important). And I do go to bed (not realistic) and set the SIM to Pause at TOD or speed up the flight with 4X time acceleration. Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW
August 4, 201312 yr Moderator I don't think that is correct. The NGX does have a proper start time. Also many other payware aircraft that I have. The NGX and "other payware aircraft" are not using the default APU from FSX. That's why they are much more expensive; custom coding does not come cheap... ^_^ Sorry Milviz it's just not up there. To be blunt as you say, you don't even want to fix some of the things pointed out. Sorry you aren't even going to wait long enough the the forthcoming "Hot Fix" that does deal with 98% of the issues raised here and in our support forum. I've been working 18+ hours a day when I'm supposed to be on a two week vacation... Fr. Bill AOPA Member: 07141481 AARP Member: 3209010556 Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
August 4, 201312 yr Just a quick one... How to update de airac in this aircraft? Probably the answer is somewhere in this thread... but it is quite large right now thanks

August 4, 201312 yr Just curious, how 'hard-coded' is the FSX APU start time? Is it possible to mod a DLL file? I'm thinking of something similar to how we were able to modify ground friction via the sim1.dll file.
August 4, 201312 yr We're not fixing one thing. A two minute pause on the sim whilst you wait for the Apu to start. That's the only thing we're not fixing right now. (Note the "right now"). Everything else is being looked at. Just one! And only one page back you said If you find the sounds too loud, feel free to lower them. We're leaving them the way they are. Anyway hope it goes well for you and lots of people enjoy it. I've been working 18+ hours a day when I'm supposed to be on a two week vacation... Well after reading this The APU is hard-coded in FSX. There is no control over how long it takes to start or stop. Have a look at the NGX and Q400 and see if it's hard coded. Sorry guys the more I read the more I lose faith. But I truly wish you all the best. David Murden. August 4, 201312 yr I think most developers use FSUIPC to do custom APU times but really if you want to simulate it properly, press P, wait up to 10 mins then press P again.
August 4, 201312 yr It's okay, Been there, working with developers, some people will never be happy, no matter if you gold plate a real aircraft and give it to them for free. Everyone has there own opinion, If they don't like it and want there money back that's okay, Each to there own views. If we got upset all the time, or did what everyone or individuals wanted, we would end up with a Hawker Siddeley Trident affair, so they would be happy, but then another crowd wouldn't be, I think the old saying, "You can't please all the people all the time" pretty much covers it.

August 4, 201312 yr Sara's absolutely right. You simply cannot please everyone. And it's not as simple as Person A likes 'complex' addons, and Person B likes 'lite' addons. I like complexity in many areas (hence I am really itching for the FLCH mode, so that I can operate the 732 SP177 realistically), however as others have said, sitting waiting 6 (or even 2) minutes for APU start is not something I want to have to do in my limited flight sim time. (The same as I don't want to sit at a gate, waiting for taxi clearance for 30 minutes, due a delay ). Realism is important to us all, but we don't all have the same definiton of it. If I'm being honest, the MV 732 does use more default FSX functionality than I expected it to, for a high quality airliner. Things like the A/P are almost always custom in this level of product, because the FSX code is so limited (such as having no native FLCH functionality). But for me, it works on the 732 because it is such an old airliner any way. Don't get me wrong, if this was a MV Triple 7 and had no FLCH mode I wouldn't touch it! .... but in the 732 it's (almost!) conceivable that the FLCH mode is unserviceable in my plane. Definitely horses for courses eh... but, by adopting the F1 Wrapper, and the 30 day refund policy, MV have done more than most devs do, by giving you that (rare) option to try it and get your money back if you don't like it. As much as we all rave about PMDG (for obvious reasons), if you spend $50 on one of their planes and it doesn't suit; you have lost $50 (as I did on the JS41). MV give you a pretty failsafe way if seeing if you like it, and if you don't, walking away with your money.

This is a great aircraft and I am really enjoying it. Just my opinion. Keep up the AWESOME work Milviz. Jamie Moses
August 4, 201312 yr Sorry you aren't even going to wait long enough the the forthcoming "Hot Fix" that does deal with 98% of the issues raised here and in our support forum. I've been working 18+ hours a day when I'm supposed to be on a two week vacation... Bill So many FSX "pilots" just have no comprehension of how much work, and now many 1000's of hours go into to creating these addon aircraft, and just how long it can take, just to change or correct, what to them looks like a simple feature. Maybe, if they could only download these addons @ 110 Baud, they might start to appreciate just how much goes into them !! I think, in many case, the "perceived" value, is related to just how quickly the can Download them from wherever. It takes a special sort of dedication to spend 18+ hours a day, working on these products -- even more so when you are supposed to be on Vacation. So, let me say a big "THANK YOU" ,for all your hard work, and all the extra free help and advice you are always giving to those in the FS Community.
