With regards the the APU start up being "too quick..."

Would anyone really enjoy spending nearly six minutes starting the APU for every flight? It might be fun once or twice, but I suspect it would get really annoying once the joy of first experience had worn off... ^_^

Am on the fence if I like it or not, FPS should be a lot better than the NGX.

Last thing, it really bugged me that I could not even register for the forums and it seems you have taken the register button away.

I love the feel inside the VC but I want it to be right. Not just look great.

Wow Dave, sorry you're not enjoying it so far.  I'm amazed with your frame report! ... As I said, for me this bird is more frame rate friendly than even the Q400!..... Are you on nVidia? ... I'm ATI so maybe it's that.      I hope you can get sorted mate, and get to enjoy this fine bird!

Dave,

Good choice mate!  You will love it.  Looks great, flies great, sounds great!

You're on a winner.

Hey just quickly - you didn't let that little xxxxx from the other day force you to drop the Dexter pic did you?

Thanks mate - I appreciate that support! ..... but no, I just fancied a change

Loving the MV 732 ! Lovely immersion!

In the end, it's a good thing that you have the option to return it.

C'mon Milviz, I have not bought it yet, but I know your B732 will be in FSX hall of fame. No need to get so defensive on your creation. Everybody here likes it.

Dirk.

I personally don't think it's defensive, or in anyway wrong for Colin to say "In the end, it's a good thing that you have the option to return it.".

It's a true fact.    It is good that people have that option!

I personally would prefer it to be realistic, no matter how long the time to start. Perhaps you could make it am option? Choose whether the user wants realistic startup or a quick start?

Regarding click sounds being too loud, this is done to give the user feedback on knob rotation such as coarse/heading. In the real world the pilot would have the physical sensation of the click state. In FSX that isn't possible, so we make it somewhat possible by giving the user audible feedback instead.

He misread and said the start time was correct, but for the engines. Not the APU

That link was in the General MV forum (not Support).

Did you use it and get engines started?

Thanks to you, I was able to get a start-up, a T/o, and a landing albeit without programming the FMC as it was only a very short EGCC_EGNH flight, all from C&D.Now I know where I went wrong---it was the double- LC on the APU. Next question, is there a menu to get rid of that nosewheel chock/sled?

Pretty kind on the FPS and such a responsive plane too. Am hooked like others. Can't wait for the SPs, hotfixes, etc..

MilViz, you're on a winner here. Glad I waited for this compared to other 737s non-NGX.

Can't believe this and a certain T7 to come yet. It's like all Xmases rolled into one!

Yer I understand that but is there a way to edit the loudness down, they are so loud the PAX on the back row are complaining

The landing brakes switch is also in need of a noise reduction.

Please.

Thank you

Rick,

"Next question, is there a menu to get rid of that nosewheel chock/sled?"

Maybe do a screen shot of what you mean.

Gravel kit maybe?

The gravel kit can be removed using the ACM (menu system)... look on your desktop for it... double click it... then click on the plane.  choose the livery you want and... then you have two pages of choices.  The gravel kit is on there.

For the sounds, I can recommend Audacity.  It's a freeware sound file editing software.  If you find the sounds too loud, feel free to lower them.  We're leaving them the way they are.

It is correct that the APU takes up to 6 minutes to get going.  We will not do this in sim and for the very good reason that 6 minutes is a very long time.  Certainly, too long for 99% of the clientele we're aiming for.  (I apologize if it came across that the APU startup was correct... it's not and I misread it ... sorry for that)

You beat me to the punch. In between posting, I looked in the Menu Manager and spotted that Gravel Kit and realised what I was referring to. Nevertheless, thanks for coming back with a helpful reply. Now to read through programming the FMS.

So when can we expect hot fixes/ updates?

For various parameters Simcheck allow the creation of a config file, might be an option to cater for those who like realism.

Personally am fine how it is, I don't wait for 10 mins for an INS to align either.
