MILVIZ 732 RELEASED!

Featured Replies

Has anyone uploaded a video flying the latest release of this model? I can see a few on Youtube but not sure which versions they are?

If so would love to see. Still haven't purchased this as not convinced about it just yet.

Thanks

Adam

I don't have the Captainsim 737-200, but I can say that I'm very pleased with the Milviz one.

The only issues I've found are 1)the moments of inertia for pitch and yaw are too small, making the aircraft feel too light, and 2)it is slightly underpowered.  Both of these are easy to fix with a few simple aircraft config file modifications.  That is, if you agree with my findings.

Is this with their latest update?

Out of interest does the elevator trim now "clack" each time you adjust it as in the real 737-200?

Thanks

The FDE has not changed from the initial release version.

No, I've not yet found a reliable method to (re)implement the trim 'clack.' I'm still investigating possibilities.

I did have a short video up on YouTube but I deleted it when the SP came out because it was out of date (and because some dude was harassing me about trim wheel sounds like I was the developer or something). It's not a big deal to put something up - won't be edited or polished up with a musical soundtrack. :P  But if an honest 1080p capture works for you, let me know if there's anything in particular you'd like to see and I'll see what I can do.

I love the MV 732 and I'm flying it a lot at the moment - but I'm really disappointed with the decision to remove the trim wheel sound.... A 737 with no trim wheel sound just isn't realistic.   The past sound wasn't pefect but it was better than no sound at all.    It doesn't ruin the fun, but it's sufficient for me to notice it on every flight.

Can we please have an option (hotfix?) to have the trim wheel sound back please Milviz?

I am the guy that asked for the option to have the FMS with the SP77 version, and you guys delivered it!! ...... so you owe me nothing    ... but where I come from, there is a saying "shy bairns get nowt", which loosely translated from the Geordie dialect, means "you get nothing, if you don't ask"

A maybe is good enough for me.   Thank you.

Maybe.

Thanks for that.

I think I'll leave it then and spend my money elsewhere.

That's a bit of a dramatic and unnecessary reaction IMHO.    MilViz have an excellent record of listening to customers and giving them what they want.   You have to appreciate that they are working flat out of the King Air 350 at the moment, so someone asking them to leave that, when they're probably working 12 hour days, to make a new trim wheel sound, is bound to add pressure.

If you miss out on the MilViz 732, only you lose out.

Trim "clacker" is now functional as designed. Fixed minor flap/slat timing issue. New installer should be up tomorrow afternoon...
