November 13, 201312 yr Commercial Member I was thinking about opening it up but it would require a lot more attention and time than I really have. And waking up with pron announcements is no fun. November 13, 201312 yr Actually, after my post I received the email for the forum account, so in my case was pretty fast! :-) I've a lot to read in the support forum now... Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk 2
November 13, 201312 yr I've always found the response to be pretty quick but then I know it's manual so have appropriate expectations i.e. workload, time zones etc. I also tend to register a product in advance of needing to post etc.
November 13, 201312 yr Guys, are the frame rates better at all with SP1? I got pretty good frames with the first version to be honest, and the frames in the SP1 version seem about the same. It's certainly more frame rate friendly for me than the T7, NGX, AXE, but obviously not as FPS friendly as the MJC Q400 (what is?!).
November 13, 201312 yr Yes, I agree, the plane is more FPS friendly then the NGX. My system is the worst at 2.2 GHz, (New system on the way!) But my first flight last night with the 737-200 with no problem even with horrible REX generated weather (Heavy Rain and clouds). Unless adding the FMS lowers FPS, it looks pretty good!!! My usual 25 FPS and around 20 when heavy REX clouds hit. Speaking of, I did my first flight last nigth with the Milviz 737 and it was awesome!!! Used the Alaska 737 and old schooled it with the SP77 and no FMS!!! Flew from PANC to PABE (Anchor. to Bethel) which is one simple jetway and 2 Vors (SQA to BET) The weather at Bethel was horrid which I knew going in there (1.5 SM visibility with rain). But it was an introductory flight. Virtually zero visibility below the 15,000 ft cloud deck. Luckily the area surrounding Bethel is very flat. The Alt Hold worked like a charm holding me at 3000 ft as I made a turn around and grabbed the glide slope from below it. I had issues with the AP following the glide slope down though and had to disconnect (probably user error). I made one of my best landings ever and still don't know how considering I did not see the runway till 1.5 miles! But there is was! The Milviz 737 does hand fly very nicely and that really helped. Love it! P.S. the Total Fuel and Vreff Gauge is amazing! MY FLIGHT SIM BLOG http://deskpilot518.blogspot.com/ Proud supporter of Intercity Airways, visit www.ViaIntercity.com
November 19, 201312 yr I already have the CS 732 with all the updates and fixes. Can someone tell me how much better the MILVIZ 732 is please? I spoke to a friend the other day and he said it was poor. I am tempted to get it but the price would mean an expensive mistake for me on 'pension credit', if it didn't measure up. Dave Taylor

You have to be kidding me? That was maybe pre update? But the version now is pretty good. I have flown mostly the SP77 (no FMC) version so far and it is great! Takes a while to get used to the Sp77 and CWS. Did a 3hr flight from CyYz to KTPA and it was a lot of fun! It can very challenging to fly old school! (No GPS, no FMC). But the great thing is that you have the option to completely change over to a SP177 and or FMC! What more can you ask? I am suspicious of the N1 readings vs. the EPR readings, but other then that, the Milviz 737 appears to fly by the numbers. I found some suggestions online from a 737-200 pilot about some of the flight parameters, suggested Settings, and she appeared to follow them accordingly. One glaring problem is that the for the Nav radio pop up, you change the active channel and not the standby channel. Hopefully they will fix this. Also, I had a problem with the trim setting but that has disappeared, so I attribute it to user error or maybe something I did wrong in the configuration manager. The night lighting is superb and that is worth mentioning! The selection of liverys appears limiting but they tried to represent 737-200s that are still flying today such as FirstAir. Worst off you can get the $49 version which comes with a money back guarantee if you are not happy. I bought the $45 version because I was sure I would be happy. B. November 19, 201312 yr Moderator One glaring problem is that the for the Nav radio pop up, you change the active channel and not the standby channel. Hopefully they will fix this. There is nothing to fix. The popup is using the default FSX radios, which are coded differently than the actual 3d radios modeled. These are the 'old school' mechanical dial types on which you can dial either the primary or standby frequencies independently, then use the transfer switch to select which side will be active. For convenience, there is a top-down view in the virtual cockpit so that you can more easily tune the com/nav radios. For even more convenience, the 2d popup was also supplied. If I ever can find the time to do so, I'll code custom 2d popup versions of the 3d radios. Fr. Bill AOPA Member: 07141481 AARP Member: 3209010556 Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator

Don't trust your friend. I own the BBS 732, the CS 732, and the Milviz 732. The Milviz is about 740% better than the CS 732. The CS does have nice VC textures; but there's nothing else positive I can say about it. The MilViz is also beautifully textured, but also has pretty good systems, good flight dynamics, better frames (for me), and much more options. The BBS isn't worthy of a mention. It is FS8 quality in my opinion. Sorry. Go MilZiz - it is not perfect; but it's very good. Better than any Captain Sim offering IMHO. And the best 732 around at the moment for sure.

Yes, but it does create a problem when you are trying to fly VOR to VOR, but need to keep a close eye on your primary gauges. For example on approach (Not a good time to look down at your VC). So while the default FSX popup is nice, a custom 2d popup as you mentioned is required. Not to mention that numerous other add ons have a custom gauge that functions correctly. November 19, 201312 yr Commercial Member By way of a general comment, I think the Milviz 737 is one of, if not the absolute best, classic jet airliner on the market for FSX. Having said that, the system of registration for the support forum strikes me as a little bizarre. Having to engage in email correspondence with every single customer and then manually register them must represent a colossal waste of time for the developer and is certainly frustrating for the customers, not knowing when they will receive access. Surely this process could be automated? Michael Cependa Developer Aerosoft DC-8

November 20, 201312 yr Has anyone uploaded a video flying the latest release of this model? I can see a few on Youtube but not sure which versions they are? If so would love to see. Still haven't purchased this as not convinced about it just yet. Thanks Adam Chillblast Core i5 14600KF Liquid Cooled RTX 4070 SUPER 32GB RAM. Internet: 1 Gig Fibre.
