November 24, 201312 yr good grief a developer that goes beyond the call of duty to satisfy his customers... im not one yet but ive been on the fence for a while now .. this plane is now on my very short list... as soon as i get enough energy to overcome my reluctance to spend money i will taxi on idle all the way to checkout.. go Milviz! November 24, 201312 yr Inertia is still there... and the plane is quite heavy... But like I said, if you want something different, just tell me what you think it should be and I will arrange for that so your friend (and you) can be happy. I have never had this sort of offer for any other developer except from FS2Crew and I am humbled by your very kind gesture. Your one of the few Milviz and I admire your gesture. You've just earned another customer. Thank you. Dave Taylor
November 24, 201312 yr You're not, sorry to say, telling me what you want me to do here. You seem to be making a complaint... But it's hard to tell. I've now offered (twice) to supply you (and anyone else) a "revised" FDE... But you need to give me the "numbers" you want. FYI, I just tried your numbers and it took me 32% to keep rolling. Which is, again, according to the pilots, correct. Tell me what you want. Specifically. Note that any change might impinge on the reality of your flight dynamics. I would like to echo what others have said. I am very thankful to be working with a developer that is willing to listen to customers and spend the time to change things. This is already the best 732 available! If I could taxi down the tarmac of 35-40 percent n1 and pick up speed I would be happy. I think the plane should slowly come to a stop at idle thrust just not as quickly as it does. If this is possible without having an impact on the otherwise very impressive flight dynamics, I am all for it. Providing you guys have the recourse to make it happen. I understand if you do not. Thank you, Milvi, very much! Mitchell Haughee
November 24, 201312 yr Moderator For what it's worth, after 'break away' and start of taxi, I can maintain a constant 10 knots taxi speed using EPR 1.41 thrust... Fr. Bill AOPA Member: 07141481 AARP Member: 3209010556 Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
November 24, 201312 yr Personally, I think the problem is the N1 reading vs. EPR reading. That is why it appears that you need a higher N1 for taxi then you really do. N1 readings always appear to read higher then they should for the respective EPR reading at TAT per the supplied 737-200 FCOM. I noticed this first when climbing past say FL15 as the EPR decreases but the N1 does not follow accordingly. ( unless there is something I am misunderstanding , please inform me). So while I do not think the N1 readings are 100 percent correct, I think the EPR readings are spot on. In the very least I have used the suggested EPR readings from the FCOM to much success during the different phases of flight. And that is good enough for me : ) B. Thank you, Milvi, very much! That's a lot of difference. Really. Like no friction at all. But alright. I've asked our FDE guy to make one like this. I want it clear here: this doesn't mean we will work "with you" to make every product do what you want or think it should be. This is a one off and totally not likely to ever happen again. I'm not even sure how Tom is going to react when I ask him to destroy his baby. If he says no, and he is within contract to do so, you'll have to live with it as is. November 24, 201312 yr personally I'm glad it's called FLIGHT simulator x not GROUND sim x.. ive got racing games for that... if the rollouts and landings are accurate i dont care about taxiing at all... flight dynamics are all important to me.. i noticed someone complained that the pmdg t7 had innaccurate taxiing during engine out procedures... i mean.... seriously? my vote goes to trim clacking sounds before taxi tinkering! November 24, 201312 yr I can confirm that the current installer on the MilViz site has a porked CFG that has a number off on the liverys. It skips a number (Alaska should read 4 instead of 5) Al Stiff
