Yes, he has boasted many times that he will be the winner of the "release date" contest.  He's very self-confident.  <_<

Delay?

What delay?

There hasn't been a release announcement yet, so you can't call it a delay unless they have!

Well, one might refer to this:

"I had planned this visual feast to be rolled out to you five weeks ago- but we forgot to give Vin his usual dose of meds through the office coffee maker that morning, and his O.C.P.T. (Obsessive Compulsive Perfectionist Tendency) took over- resulting in a few minor tweaks that turned into Not-So-Minor-Tweaks™ that turned into a pretty significant overall update of the non-panel portions of the virtual cockpit surroundings... "

No promises broken, no estimates amended, though - just what might have triggered a comment like the one m.a. ...   B)

Read up you might, but the love you show for the 777 will hardly present in 747 case now, will it?

Now I like 747 much much more, and the only reason I am even considering the 777 is it will come out way sooner. (well and it is awesome. But I could do without awesome 777 in summer if I had awesome 747 by Christmas)

After many years of flying the B744, and still with much affection for The Queen, I intend to retrain to the B777.

Dedicated to long-haul flying and to the latest avionics, I know that I shall be well absorbed with the B777 for many years to come.

Bring it on!

Cheers, Richard

Although leaving your old queen behind, do not forget there is a new super one on the way. I cannot wait for the 747 V2...
