Just wanted to show off one of Alex's last minute improvements here - the EGPWS terrain on the ND has gotten a rather dramatic facelift vs. what was in the NGX and it looks very very close to the real thing now:

Just flying the NGX and I can't believe the improvement. Nice. By the way without cheating, BASKIN is on approach to LAX is it not?

EDIT 2: I see the pick shows BASKN not BASKIN and the RWY is 18. I guess thats why I never did that well on those high school exams. Not paying attention to detail.

That was my first thought too!  It rivals actual equipment.  Instagram this and Instagram a real one and PMDG would blow it out of the water haha.

As an UPS employé it was very sad to hear about this accident with one of our Airbus A300F planes.

As was mentioned in another thread, can the sweeping effect be seen? (due to the dots in each tile changing position by a milimeter or so. If anyone is interested, the density of dots in each tile is the same if your stationary, it's just that the dots are jumping around in each tile which create the 'sweeping' effect, similar to the WXR sweep [dots jump similar to the white noise on a un-tuned TV]).

 

I am amazed you managed to get the 'dots' so sharp. Aerowinx has faced an issue with PSX where 'shimmering' or the 'Moire effect' on the dots occurs when in a turn etc. (Hope you don't mind me mentioning Aerowinx in here :mellow: ).

Yeah, me too.  I was testing the fuel dump in the middle of the night (to test out some of the items that required darkness to test) and turned it on as an aid to help me keep myself out over the bay (cue the environmentalist outrage - let's be honest, though, it's not like Balldeemore is the cleanest city...then again, it's probably still cleaner than the Anacostia...) and was pleasantly surprised.
