  1. Maglev trains are one thing, but maglev planes?!?! Imagine that, no engine power needed for taxi, silky smooth landings, not having to worry about tires at all...
  2. Well then could I trade in my V1 copy once V2 comes out?
  3. By the way since some people said that it was an issue with DX9, will changing the settings to DX10 preview possibly fix it? I'll try it out soon and report back.
  4. I've been using that German app called Don't Lose Your Stick and it's all fine for me, but the throttle calibration is a bit weird. Does anyone know how to set it so that it doesn't go into reverse thrust when i move my throttles back?
  5. I've got the Toshiba Satellite L50A013 i7 3630QM 2.4-3.4GHz, 4GB RAM (has extra slots capable of up to 16gb), NVIDIA GT740M At 1366x768 at FlyTampa's Dubai, with AI traffic (UT2) the 777 gets around 15fps with setting bars nearly maxed out. I got the laptop at a pretty low $599
  6. Other away around  SYD-LHR would be non-stop, but LHR-SYD would have had a stopover. IMO stopovers are beneficial to the airline as say QF1 is a service to London, with a stopover at Dubai. Now, people who wish to visit Dubai may also travel on this flight, but if the flight was a non-stop one direct to London, then the potential customers wishing to travel to Dubai will have to choose another airline. Same goes with cargo.
  7. In one of Frooglesim latest videos, he copied a table of wind data from Activesky 2012 and through creating a text document, could import the wind data straight into the FMC. My question is, I am using OpusFSX right now, is there any way to generate a table like the one in the video? Thanks

  11. I don't know if anyone noticed or not, but the Airtrack app isn't for real world flights, its just for transmitting information from X-plane (and possibly FSX).
  12. Whoever decided to plug their iPhone in the left EFB hole
  13. I have had something similar, where one engine would refuse to spool up, despite setting everything up correctly. The only advice that I can give you is to restart your FSX, since this fixes it for me.
  14. Hmm this is intriguing... two of PMDG's current largest 777 topics marked for risk of closure... Can't everyone just be happy and get along with each other?

Did they put an actual price on the NGX the days before release?
  16. I'm guessing they'll probably do $79.99 or $89.99 and $119.99 for the base pack + 1 expansion when it comes out
  17. I don't really think there's much hope for an August release anymore... :( I'll really just be happy if they announce the pricing, or confirm the week of release before the end of this month.
  18. That's sadly true... :( There was a Qantas A380 captain who had a lot of YouTube videos of his trips, and they were very interesting but earlier this year he had to remove them because of company policy.
  19. I love the landing light and the metal textures in that second photo
  20. FSX does have a key for opening and closing new windows. The default is "[" to open a new window and "]" to close it.

Does PMDG share the same cockpit between the -F and the -LR varients? I mean like does the cockpit for the freighter have the small passenger area behind the cockpit modelled in?
  22. It was BKK first, with the 744s, and then it was changed to SIN sometime during the transition to the A380s, and now it is DXB.
  23. Lets skip straight to the release shall we?
  24. Hmm... well not at this rate its not going to... <_<
