August 25, 201312 yr ...that FTX Global is only good for the VFR flyers...I say.... :P :P I could never get bored of these stunning visuals all over the world. It's so liberating to be able to fly all over the place without thinking "hmmmm this area is not going to look good"....
August 25, 201312 yr Actually i find FTXG great for airliners, and ftx regions more for GA / VFR / low and slow Zeljko Budovic
August 25, 201312 yr Author Actually i find FTXG great for airliners, and ftx regions more for GA / VFR / low and slow It's certainly opened a massive range of flights for me, as before, anything outside of an ORBX region just made me not want to fly there, after being spoiled by ORBX, so I found myself mainly flying within England/Scotland and Australia. Now the whole world is there for enjoyment, and although obviously not the same as the fully fledged ORBX regions, I'm loving being able to fly between a multitude of countries and have the world looking good!
August 26, 201312 yr From what I read in other forums don't try this over desert landscapes, but over things green FTXG is da bomb!! I really think FTXG is the way to go and things therein will only improve as time passes and updates are made. Nice shot :-) Dan George (woodhick)Check out Greenbrier Aero Club, the VA for and about the GA pilot.

I really think FTXG is the way to go and things therein will only improve as time passes and updates are made. Nice shot :-) Specifically: South-West US desert landscapes, other deserts are just fine (judging by the screenshots I've seen, haven't flown there myself yet). The South-Western US is currently too green, but Orbx is working on a patch to address this. John-Alan Pascoe
August 26, 201312 yr Commercial Member I had a look at screenshots over Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar & Dubai, deserts looked very realistic. Rob Prest
