September 3, 201312 yr Both the American liveries (new and old) are available as repaints for the PMDG 737 NGX (-800) right here on the Avsim library. Multiple versions by different people. And have been for months. An "Old bare metal" American livery existed for the PMDG 737 NGX since release day way back in 2011! Continental was too. Oh!!boy this better be good. Thanks Danny morales
September 3, 201312 yr We painted a fictional Continental already. Not doing the AAL new one - we all hate that livery here. We did the old true bare metal one. I have never like the new AA livery

September 3, 201312 yr No, Continental ≠ United. Continental and United were completely separated until they merged 2010-2013. Ah, Ok We painted a fictional Continental already. Not doing the AAL new one - we all hate that livery here. We did the old true bare metal one. I love AAL Old Colors...
September 3, 201312 yr Love the new livery. The old one was great but not up to par with 2013 imo. I love the new livery as well, I it just nice and modern
September 3, 201312 yr While it could've been worse (I shiver at the thought of it actually being worse...), the new livery seems like something that was designed by a committee... Not sure if that's a good thing. Name available upon request
September 3, 201312 yr No, Continental ≠ United. Continental and United were completely separated until they merged 2010-2013. How so in terms of livery? The only change is the title UNITED instead of Continental.
September 3, 201312 yr US Airways and American are not the same company either, yet they're planning on merging into one big company once they get some legal issues out the way. It doesn't mean they're the same, though. Name available upon request
September 3, 201312 yr seems like something that was designed by a committee That tail looks like it was done by a kid. Or Doug Parker was drunk (again) and was able to talk Horton into changing it. Kenny Lee"Keep climbing"
September 4, 201312 yr I'd like to go back to the livery we had in the 50s. For me the new one could be salvaged if they toned the tail down but something completely different would be better. Doug Parker had nothing to do with this new livery. He made a statement several months ago that the livery may change a little, it may change a lot or be something completely different when the merger happens. This livery came from Tom Horton's team as part of the new image for American coming out of the bankruptcy. They did not consult Parker even though they were fully aware of the merger. Tom Landry
September 4, 201312 yr Hi, I think the new AA livery looks brill especially on those 300's !!. It's even easier to read the registration off the aircraft. I also like the old livery aswell, but.....If I was to compare the two then well.....my first choice would have to be the new one Regards Jason Jason Thompson
September 4, 201312 yr Go on airliners.net, type in "retro" in the search engine and sit and wonder why they don't paint airplanes like those anymore. Everything today is white with a word on it. Boring, if you ask me.
