September 17, 201312 yr Scott, again, thank your for all your efforts and responses in lightspeed time :-) I can confirm that this new patch brings toe brakes to 0% when releasing the parking brake! Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
September 17, 201312 yr Commercial Member Just for the record, we take no pride in having to put an update out shortly after a product is released. I know some view this as a developer being dedicated, and in some respects this is true, but we take pride in not having to release a patch shortly after release. However, on this release we've been hit with two issues that we have not been able to reproduce ourselves internally. In the past two weeks, we've increased the size of our beta team from the former 21 to 36 (15 pilots). So if anyone is to be thanking anyone, it is A2A thanking the customers for their feedback. Scott.
September 17, 201312 yr Excellent attitude Scott. Ok, well I was pleased with 1.01 yesterday but I am absolutely delighted with 1.02, as the very last bit of 'stickiness' at Orbx fields only, has completely disappeared for me, with 1.02. This add-on is now... Perfect / Perfecto / Perfetto / i përkryer / مثالي / 完美 / perfekt / parfait / τέλειος / foirfe / savršen / 완전한 / puikus / täydellinen / идеальный / کامل / उत्तम  Cheers.
September 17, 201312 yr Yes, it's up to the usual A2A standards :-) I've been using it 50 / 50 with the PMDG 777. Haven't started X-plane10, or even DCS ever since I got both :-) Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

September 17, 201312 yr Perfect / Perfecto / Perfetto / i përkryer / مثالي / 完美 / perfekt / parfait / τέλειος / foirfe / savršen / 완전한 / puikus / täydellinen / идеальный / کامل / उत्तम  Soooooo... you like it now? ^_^ Patch 1.02 solved my sticky problem also (although I have to get used to braking all over again because they seem to brake a lot less). I haven't really figured out what that new slider does for your controls: I don't really 'get' it but default is fine with me so I think I will stick with that. All in all this plane is absolutely great. A joy to fly. I never expected to have so much fun with such a slow plane! My flights are becoming longer and longer because I just don't want to land too soon! ^_^
September 17, 201312 yr Soooooo... you like it now? ^_^ I never didn't like it Jeroen. I had major issues with the release version on my system, which I documented, discussed and tested solutions for, with A2A by PM, and which are now resolved. I saw a lot of posts from plenty of other people too with those issues.. ^_^ Is anything in this hobby as simplistic as "I like it" and "I don't like it" ........ Rarely.
September 17, 201312 yr The various modes of the KAP are also working like a charm!!!! I know, I was just kidding. ^_^ I also had the same problem with the brakes but didn't post too much about it because you already did all the work LOL (BTW thanks for your perceverance in this regard, which I am sure helped for this speedy solution!).
September 17, 201312 yr Lol, no probs. Yes, she sure is a nice little fly now  ... she's my 'go to' plane for some relaxing VFR in between T7, AXE, Q400 and NGX flights!
September 18, 201312 yr Sadly I cannot report the same - now my brakes must be "toe touched" once to get the parking brake to be gone This issue is now resolved for me with 1.02 and the only problem I have experienced so far this time was an error dialog reading "attempt to read nil value" upon trying to reenter a flying session from the free0flight selection screen and starting the engine - I think I had read about this somewhere before with this C172, but its the first time I have seen it...
September 18, 201312 yr Sorry if I'm spoiling your fun, but why did you pay fifty bucks for a 172? What more does it have than the others for twenty bucks? Perhaps these videos will answer that question:
September 18, 201312 yr Just installed the update and its perfect now. Plane handles and flies like a dream. The AP no longer trim the plane into a stall and its not as twitchy anymore. Now I can have all 4 people in the plane and not have to worry about it being tail heavy.
September 18, 201312 yr Perhaps these videos will answer that question: It's kind of Sims3 for FSX now. I think I like it a lot and that's with having flown the free variant of the C172 (default) with some tweaked air file for some time.
September 19, 201312 yr I have been unsuccessful in finding a comfortable setting for the 172's elevator. I have no idea if the external view of the elevator is correct but, a small in or out of my CH yoke produces a small change in the viewed elevator. However, while in the air that small change results in a strong change in the attitude of the aircraft. From this I conclude that, in my case, the problem is not in the mechanics of the elevator but in the translation of the yoke changes as placed into the flight model. I simply cannot get a small enough change in the angle of attack despite fiddling with the P3D control settings and FSUIPC payware version. A2A 1.02 patch, P3D, CH Yoke and rudders regards, Dick near Pittsburgh, USA
