September 12, 201312 yr I have to chime in on this one too. Many aircraft addons Ive purchased have hit me in a sort of ho-hum way. But this one .... Having taken extensive flying lessons, I can exactly recall the sights and sounds and the procedures we followed. This addon brings all that back. Great work, folks. Now, if only I can train myself to fight the urge to just jump in a plane and takeoff, and do it the right way.
September 12, 201312 yr In my case, I reverted back to the original AIRCRAFT.CFG file, and am not using my mods. It's evident that anything I might try to use in the flight tuning section could easily interfere with the internal processing done by A2A's code, so, and since defining and calibrating the controllers through FSUIPC also helped quite a lot, I am flying it as it is, waiting for any official patch. I'm satisfied just as it is now. I never had the clickspot bug... September 12, 201312 yr I made the mistake of bringing up the elevator *fix on the A2A forums. Better not do that again. Without the fix, I would never bring this ac out the hanger, with it, it's fantastic. My controls are perfect and I will not be calibrating them only for this aircraft alone when all others ( a lot ) work perfect. -Iain Watson-

September 12, 201312 yr Yeh, I just saw it before coming here, A2A are really repsonding well, couldn´t ask for any more. -Iain Watson-
September 12, 201312 yr There aren't many developers that will get straight up in the air in the real aircraft, to test and refine their work. A2A are really special and are clearly genuinely passionate about the art of simulation. Big respect to Scott and team.
September 12, 201312 yr I agree! Excellent support, we came in hard when it got released, but they're working hard and listening to their costumers! That's the way to do it Alexis Mefano
September 12, 201312 yr sensational Idea! can a 172 be loaded into a 777? maybe you can request the devs provide foldaway wings , next patch. I may try your idea myself actually great sense of humour!! My gallery: http://s1075.photobucket.com/albums/w430/yankeegolf/

I may try your idea myself actually I would prefer the An-225/spaceshuttle approach! Or perhaps on a pylon under a wing? Glued to the belly of the T7 like a backup RAT? I have plenty of good ideas! September 12, 201312 yr Yah, just put the 172 in a dive with full power, you might be able to remove the wings that way  I used to use the BF-108 with its folding wings as my 'dinghy' for the 747F. While I am not aware of any RV-7s with folding/removable wings, being a homebuilt airplane, I am sure such a modification could be made. That would be my personal choice for a 'dinghy' B) "The knack of flying is learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." - Douglas Adams Tejon 'TJ' Stanley
September 12, 201312 yr +1 to A2A for post-release customer support. -1 to A2A for not sufficiently detecting, fixing, or anticipating some of these issue prior to release.
September 12, 201312 yr I don't think it is possible to anticipate or detect every issue until the product gets released to the masses. This especially true when new technology or functionality is brought to FSX, such as Accusim, Tackpak and so on. Maybe A2A could have cast a larger beta tester net in order to test a wider variety of controller/PC setups, but even with that you won't catch everything. Even the 777 has some bugs, like not being able to import flightplans that depart from Amsterdam. That is a bug that most likely wouldn't be found until it was released anyway. September 12, 201312 yr But that extremely sensivite elevator thing is a bit strange. Just the sliiiightest pull with my Saitek yoke and I am heading for Pollux and Castor. Krister LindénEFMA, Finland------------------

Cheers TJ I respect your point of view TJ, but you don't need to point out that developers can't detect every issue. No kidding, of course I know that! But some of these problems people are seeing are not some obscure error like the one you cited with the 777, they are things that really seem like they should have been caught, like with Orbx, and I simply don't see any excuse to be made. Thumbs up to them for working hard to making things right, but I'm not as inclined as you are to give developers, be it A2A or anybody else, a pass on having a rocky release in the first place. As a generalized comment, it happens all too often these days, I'm sure I'm not the only one getting sick of it, and they should do better, that's all.
September 12, 201312 yr Even the 777 has some bugs, like not being able to import flightplans that depart from Amsterdam That's nothing compared to the problems with the FBW system, that will certainly take a LOT of time to track and correct :-/, and they had a huge team of beta testers, including 777 pilots ( or at least FOs)...
