What expect for this SP2? when? -No release dates.  Ever.

Wx radar? - Yes
Turbulence improved? -Like the 777?  I guess so...
Some ACARS functions? -Unless someone comes up with a system to connect to, no.  That's why the 777 didn't get it.
Auto tuning Radios? -Definitely no.  The real 737 does not do this...

Hi

Just in case anybody hasn't seen this video from a real 737ng

The PMDG 777 can do a lot of whats seen in this video, including making custom waypoints from other custom waypoints and it would be great if the PMDG 737 ngx could also.

Lower over-head panel?

Huh?

Cockpit Shadows?

Doubt it.

Kyle Rodgers

Huh?

I imagine he's talking about the cockpit geometry issue.

To Ron:

Tabs (PMDG) has stated that they will see if they can fix it or not, depending on whether or not it impedes with the HGS. If it doesn't hinder the working of the HGS, they'll adjust it. If it DOES hinder the functionality of the HGS, they will not adjust it.

I wasn't aware, that there was a geometry issue with the overhead-panel?!

Looking mostly forward to the weather-radar...

Out-of-curiosity - is it the same weather-radar-system (Collins WXR-2100) in the 737NG aircrafts?

Best regards,

Yeah I am very anxious for the Wx radar. I hesitate to fly anything other than the 777 now because it's such a cool feature!

I think it's safe to expect some updates to the FMC. I remember there were some functions not modeled. All in due time.

RTA I think they said they're putting in for SP2

RTA is indeed included in SP1 for the 777.

Thanks. Only had one quick hop since the SP. Even that didn't end up in landing...

As I've mentioned in a few other threads, the data has yet to be seen.  Moreover, given their own explanations of what the data shows, it's still not representative of a true onboard weather radar.  That's just what I can see from what they've written, though.

Please don't get yourselves all hyped up for this and set yourself up for disappointment.  I'm hopeful, but let's not treat this as the Holy Grail of flight simming until we see it...

This is so funny now!
