Fort Worth Alliance KFWA by Brandon Thetford is awesome. I use it as an alternate when going into Fort Worth. It's very well done and it's free

Thanks for that. i go there every year for the airshow and don't live to far from there, off to check it out.

Orbx Bowerman KHQM is nice.

There's not a lot of quality USA freeware. Most are just updated with ADEX.

I did one of my home airport KDLH with ADEX and photoscenery backdrop courtesy of Eric Mccloud... I'll have to send it to the library.

Oh ya Shez airports are great.

There's also a John Wayne KSNA that's pretty decent. Found in the library's here.

I second Bowerman (and all other ORBX freeware sceneries are great, too, but they are small fields rather than actual airports, so I guess those don't count).

And I found a nice version of Telluride somewhere, but I can't remember where at the moment.

EDIT: Found it - here's the link. It's of course not really as good as any of the sceneries mentioned above, but as Ryan said, there's not too much out there, and compared to simple ADEX updates this one's really nice.

I found KXNA from Ryan Whitford nicely done.

Edit: Oop, I see its already mentioned above.

The only problem with KSNA is that there is autogen suppression for miles around the airport and I don't know how to fix it O well I'm not complaining because I know it's free but I wish I could do something about it.

It's certainly nice looking, but for some reason on my system it confuses UT2, Ai traffic taxis to the hold point, then just sits there until it times out and is removed from the system (ie, after about 5 minutes of waiting).

It's probably something simple like a broken taxi path, but still, it's annoying given how well the scenery looks.

According to the Orbyx website, you must have FTX PNW installed to use their Bowerman airport.  Has anyone installed it without PNW?  Does it blend in well enough, or is it not compatible?

Curt Branch

It will work but it has the runway plateau issue and some clipping of objects.
