October 8, 201312 yr I was just curious what addons are people using with their pmdg 777 (not counting external scenery like addon airports/ orbx etc)? [For example: weather engines, flight planning software, atc programs, other programs that deal with what is occurring on the flight deck]. What addons are you looking forward to getting for your 777 flights? Right now I am running Opus, EFB and VoxATC. With every passing day I am thinking more about getting pfpx/topcat. I am looking forward to fs2crew and the fscaptain update. Chris H
October 8, 201312 yr TOPCAT isn't compatible with the PMDG 777 yet. FlightSimSoft have said they are working on building a profile for it but it can take 2-3 months and they haven't actually started it yet. PFPX is a worth while investment. I will definitely recommend it.

October 9, 201312 yr Commercial Member I use PFPX for every single flight now, initially only planned it for ETOPs procedures. So, for me it's: -PFPX -FTXG -ENB + Gabriel Teles' Sky Textures-AS2012 for the weather (can't wait for ASN!)-REXE (textures) -Whatever airport I'm flying into/out of (I try and stay away from using the defaults, they're a bit blah..) October 9, 201312 yr 1. PFE or PROATCX for ATC. 2. FSGRW for Weather. 3. EFB for charts. 4. FSCaptain. 5. PFPX. 6. Opusfsx for camera views. 7. FTXGlobal. Naif Almazroa My Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/Youmou0205
October 9, 201312 yr Nothing fancy so far, just Vatsim (of course), FSGRW with REX textures, AES and GSX, PFPX, TrackIR and the iPads for all kinds of stuff. Looking forward to FS2Crew and Topcat and (hopefully) a 777 version of Virtual CDU for the iPad. Krister LindénEFMA, Finland------------------

October 9, 201312 yr VoxATC for a bit of 'voice control' until the SDK and the FS2Crew edition are out. Flight Deck Companion until the SDK and the FS2Crew edition are out. FS Captain for the line flying experience. Basic FSX flightplans, manually entered into the FMC (VOR-to-VOR) to ensure compatibility with VoxATC and FS Captain. And Process Explorer to make up my own mind regarding VAS usage ... What happened to AVSIM
October 10, 201312 yr Author How are people using fscaptain with the pmdg 777? I don't see a 777 profile. Are people creating them from scratch?
October 10, 201312 yr Out of curiosity, how can I be sure that ORBX FTX Global have been correctly installed ? I mean, not a simple version release number but inside the game. I mean not theory but practice. Is there a graphic particular I can spot inside the game that witnesses ORBX has been correctly installed ? I mean a certain bridge or a highway or a particular wall etcc. Thanks in advance and sorry for posting a side question

Install the FCDU in the 777 panel then start FSX and load the plane. Open the FCDU, it will recognize the plane as 772. Next time you start the administrator it will show up. October 10, 201312 yr Your ground textures obviously change. I don't think you can incorrectly install it. If the installer goes through completion with no issues or errors its installed..... Brent Baker
