I'm curious - if P3D v2 is tweak free...

Tweak Simulator 2014!
Bill, what a splendid idea!! Don't forget to add features for when Tweak Simulator add-on developers that will reset all your previous tweaks to their default settings.

Terrific idea, Mario. I hadn't even thought about creating an SDK for Tweak Sim 2014 third-party tweak developers...

Of course all of the "default values" are totally randomized anyway, which can only add to the fun. If this idea gains any traction I may have to split this off to a separate thread...   :P

LOL!!  Good stuff Fr. Bill

Sounds like it'd go great side-by-side with my idea for an upgrade to PMDG's 737NGX which I call Button Simulator 2012, in which you spend a massive amount on artificial hardware buttons to press, to simulate pressing buttons in the software, in turn simulating pressing buttons in a real 737NG.  There is no actual flight involved, just the pressing of buttons.  Just like a real 737!

No PMDG = No Tweak Simulator

I would like an animated Monkey in this button sim. Or when you tweak something you shouldn't the Monkey goes Ape nuts. :)

I've lost endless hours and days on FSX tweaking, so how can I miss it? All of that lost time I could fly for a change.

But even with P3D V2, I will have that odd feeling it could perform better if I add some tweaks. Yes, that obsession from FSX is nasty.

Nope I'll be happy to be rid of tweaks and blurries 8 core cpu with 4.5ghz and a fiber time fraction of .40 and I still get blurries flying at less than 200knts

Yes, that obsession from FSX is nasty.

I've formally petitioned the American Psychological Association to add "Flightsim Tweaking" as an officially recognized form of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). If approved, it will appear in the 2014 edition of the Physician's Desk Reference (PDR). :Silly:

Forgive me but does P3D v2 use all 4 cores without adding a mask?

Hahhaha I'm laughing at this, but honestly that is not far from truth. :D

I'm still going to Overclock.  You can't stop me from overclocking everything I put in my system.

Because of FS I've learned not only how to put systems together, but also how to get every bit of power out of them because "I NEED MORE POWER".  Including Windows Server installations because only they had RAID and configurability, and server hardware.  After the first 3 years of it my building skills exceeded other professionals, and I started a 20 year career in IT.  FS paid for my house.

I don't think my tweaker habit gonna change.

I will put $3 towards the development of Tweak Simulator.  But only if the monkey can use 3rd party high res textures.

What is sad is I have been sidetracked many times for long periods tweaking aspects that I knew would barely make differences on screen because I have this damn habit now.  I am like a trained circus monkey that has been retired from the circus.

I wonder if it will be covered by the Affordable Care Act.

I have an idea for a completely new program:

Tweak Simulator 2014!

Instead of a tiny number in the upper left corner, it will have a H U G E fluorescent green number in the center of the screen! You won't go blind trying to see success!

With 242 separate configuration files scattered around your hard drive in cryptically named folders, and around 32,510 separate settable parameters (some of which actually do something), you can spend hours, nay YEARS tweaking to your heart's content, all while chasing that impossible goal of maximizing the magic number on your screen!

Adding to the excitement, the program will be coded to randomly scramble configuration files by rearranging and sometimes swapping parameters between files. As a further challenge, some of the configuration files will require the tobj editor, a cryptic tool already being used successfully by SCS in their European Truck Simulator 2 program to provide endless hours of frustration enjoyment for their customers.

I'm soliciting ideas now for further improvements and suggestions for obfuscation, so feel free to add to the madness! Once all of the ideas have been finalized, I can write the prospectus for a Kickstarter Campaign! :LMAO:

Haha...

...can I buy stock in this, it's gonna be a winner :)

I have an idea for a completely new program:

Tweak Simulator 2014!

Yeah, great. Go right ahead, you'll be sorry... BTW, what's going to make this better than Tweak Simulator 9?
