March 23, 201511 yr Thanks for your fast answer! The manual is lacking this important information! I bought this addon for P3D, so I won't be able to use my RXP gauges in it. But in this case, I'll use Plan G to set up a flight plan, save it in MSFS/P3D fornat and than I'll load it from within the sim. Or, I'll do raw data flying in it only! ;-) Nevertheless, it's hand flying characteristics seem to be very nice! The KLN90B GPS included with this aircraft is just a simple semi-functonal 'mask' of the default FS GPS. It doesn't allow 'Direct To' entries. Basically, just load your flight plan into the FSX Planner, and then use the NAV and WPT pages of the KLN90B to monitor your flight. That's all it allows I'm afraid but at least you know you're not doing anything wrong! I've personally added a pop-up RXP GNS530 into my Metroliner, to provide better navigation capabilities, 'on the fly'.

Because many operators have them installed in Metroliners in the real world ..... so that could be an option (as a popup) for better navigation capabilities. Here's a video from YouTube of a Metroliner, with a GTN750 fitted next to the Captain's instruments. (View from 04:02 to see the GTN in action) ; https://youtu.be/f2lxz9UjkPg?t=4m2s Cheers.

Very cool, and yes, I own the GTN, but only for FSX! But I'll definitely buy it for P3D too one day! ;-)
March 23, 201511 yr I've been working on a Trimble GPS on-and-off for a number of years (initially for the Tinmouse B732 on FS9!) and have ported it to the Metroliner. I will stress that it is still a work-in-progress and not one that I'm likely to return to soon - my current project is a proper autopilot for the Carenado Phenom, and I like flying occasionally too! Hopefully, you may get some mileage out of it even in its present state. At least, it has a DTO function. It's a simple drop-in replacement for the current unit, and has a 2D popup for better readability. Files available here.

To be absolutely honest, on most of my FS Economy flights, I fly direct routes between two airfields. So that might work good for me! Thanks a lot for providing your work!
March 24, 201511 yr To be absolutely honest, on most of my FS Economy flights, I fly direct routes between two airfields If you want functionality over appearance, the simplest solution is to add the default GPS as a 2D popup, with the following edits to the panel.cfg (nd bring it up with shift-6): [Window Titles] Window05=MS GPS [Window05]Background_color=0,0,0window_pos = 0.000, 0.600size_mm = 310,200window_size = 0.3, 0.28visible = 0ident =gauge00 = fs9gps!gps_500, 0,0,300,190 You might need to play with the sizes if you have a widescreen monitor as mine is 4:3.

Thanks a lot! That might fit my needs the best I think. In the PC-12, I use the default GPS as well and its functionality is sufficient to do my FSE flying.

March 24, 201511 yr Thanks Izamm for your GPS replacement. This is indeed a great enhancement for me. March 25, 201511 yr Thanks again, Izamm! I made both mods (your Trimble GPS and the addition of the MS GPS) in the panel.cfg. It works like a charm and I really like it!
April 16, 201511 yr Thanks to everyone for all the mods. I've just recently reinstalled this aircraft in P3Dv2 and the mods make a huge difference. I have 2 questions: 1) has anyone gotten the switch sound mods working in P3Dv2 yet? I added the gauge line from the the pdf to the correct section and made sure it is only one line. 2) I like flying on Pilot Edge but my comms are not working (every other aircraft I use works just fine). It seems the hundredths digit on the cmom radios is messed up. e.g. instead of reading 122.50, it reads 122.56. Just FYI, I have the Metro saved in a cold and dark state and will either load the flight from my saved flights w/in P3D or I'll start the sim using the flight file in the MyDocuments/P3Dv2 folder. April 16, 201511 yr Dear All Can you please, before I push the purchase button, answer these questions: A plane purchased now is ready to fly (any patches, updates), needed? Is there an AP in this plane? Can Reality XP 430/530 be coupled with it? Is it a complex airplane or more like a Carenado? Thanks a lot Csaba

April 17, 201511 yr Anyone else having a comms issue? If I want to dial 118.0 into comm 1, I get 118.01. That won't work online. I don't remember having this issue before. Anyone else experiencing this? April 17, 201511 yr Yes I've had it happen a couple of times. It seems to be a start-up issue and once that .01 is there it just stays there (.06, etc). Simple fix however, just use the default ATC to set the comms frequency - any frequency - then you'll be able to set it correctly from then on. Should also not happen if you load one of the default planes before loading the metro, but I can't guarantee this - it just hasn't happened often enough for me to say either way.
