I know War Thunder shots aren't very common here but I thought I'd share.

After dropping my bomb load and being attacked by Fw190s, I somehow managed to limp home back to our base

Aced the landing too! No worries sir, that wing was detachable in the first place.

Just to illustrate the really good motion and water effects

How far did you fly on that one engine?

How far did you fly on that one engine?

Pretty much across the entire map. Not quite sure how many miles but probably took me 15 minutes from the time my 3rd engine quit on me to the landing at the friendly airstrip.

At what stage did you lose part of the right wing? How did the bird handle with that scratch? Reminds me of Memphis Belle, these are pretty cool pics.

Well, as I got closer to the runway and tried to slowdown, I realize my gear was completely INOP, as you can tell by the pics. I tried to pull the smoothest belly landing I could, but drifted to the left a little too much to be comfortable. I put in a bit more right rudder and just a smidge of right aileron, but the combination of both and my already low speed meant I hit the ground hard with my right wing dipped low enough to snap on touchdown.

That is pretty freakin' cool!

where's that water coming from? what setting or program are you using for that water??? Looks totally awesome.!!!!

How are the flight dynamics?

Not bad, some are far less developed than others, and the B-17 acts a little more fighter-like than I expected it to, but that is only after bombload release.

is it a sim or arcade?

It has an arcade mode yes, which is a lot simpler gameplay (ie, you can respawn in missions, missions last a certain amount of time) whereas "simulator battles" have much more advanced flight model characteristics, engine control, and damage models.

Incredible. I must have my head in the sand because I had never heard of that program until I read your post. Thanks for sharing.

I really like the look of the sky and atmosphere in general. With some tuning and using ENB or Sweetfx you can get FSX to look close to this, but not quite the same.
