I have just completed my first quick test flight in the 737NGX at Dublin, and I have noted a couple of issues....

* The framerate close to the airport seems to be pretty good with 100% UT2 AI active, and all sliders at maximum (except water at Mid.2.x). However, when I depart from runway 28, and then turn back downwind, the framerates are really struggling. I assume that this must be something to do with the FTX Republic of Ireland autogen, but I don't have this problem anywhere else. In addition, as I turn to base and then final, the framerate steadily improves until it is pretty smooth as I approach the runway from 2 or 3 miles out.

* A significant amount of FTX autogen seems to be "culled" around the airport. This doesn't look right, so I need to work out how to correct that.

The airport itself looks great, although those large expanses of ramp concrete actually look quite bare. I am not sure if that is me being excessively "picky", or if there really is a lack of "clutter" at the airport....

Does this scenery seem to be working with DX10 ok?

Works well in daytime- the ground vehicles are grey at night (even with steve's fixer)

Beech Baron: Uh, Tower, verify you want me to taxi in front of the 747?

X-Plane 12 and MSFS2020  🙂

System specs: Windows 11  Pro 64-bit, Ubuntu Linux 20.04 i7-13700KF  Gigabyte Z790 RTX-4060-Ti , 32GB RAM  1X 2TB M2 for X-Plane 12,  1x256GB SSD for OS. 1TB drive MSFS2020

In my FSX setup the stall at 6% is pretty standard and it's much longer than 40 seconds. Never could figure out what's causing it, so I accepted it as a part of daily FSX-life....

I see you have 3 x 1tb HDD and thats more than likely your problem. Although I run 2 xSSD I keep my scenery on a 3tb hard drive and started to get long loading especially at 6%

The answer after some research was to defrag with something like smart defrag using the deep scanning option and then setting up a weekly schedule (cant hurt) I also disabled all scenery that I dont use regularly and now  it takes fsx 90 secs to load.

Try it and see how you go

Yes, this appears to be a real problem... Otherwise, I'm getting solid framerates and the airport is lovely.

Huh--this last time I loaded it the autogen was all there. Maybe it's inconsistent? Curiouser and curiouser...

I'm loving it as well so far, and haven't been hit too hard on performance.

I've been experiencing this as well and started a thread over on the support forums: http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/topic/79753-ma-dublin-random-autogen-exclusion/

Happens randomly and only when starting somewhere else for me.

Regards,

Kyle

I started at the airport itself, so I will need to check that out again. I will have a look at the thread over on the Aerosoft support forum, because this is something that needs to be sorted out.

It seems that I may have experienced some kind of glitch yesterday with respect to the framerates on the downwind leg of my test flight from runway 28. I conducted another test today in the PMDG 737NGX, and the framerate on that downwind leg was infinitely better. The autogen exclusion problem was still present, but the developer is looking into this. Interestingly, I can get that missing autogen to appear sometimes if I change seasons, although that wasn't the case on this particular flight. Hopefully it will be resolved soon.
