Ai Controller (Sid, Jet Route, Star And Final Approach) Beta

Thanks ja and Anthony,

I decided against the purchase after your comments. Much appreciated. I did notice there is a hack where you can setup a mulitplayer session with one player as ATC and save the flight. I started to experiment with that and stopped. P3D 2.3 crashed after I ended the multiplayer session. Anyone using P3D had any luck with this? Here's the site:

Thanks,

Graham

I'm not 100% sure, but I'm going to venture that it's because you don't have the right version of SimConnect. Are you using FSX SP2 (acceleration pack)?

In some airports, the last waypoints of a particular STAR is the same as the first waypoint on a Final Approach File. In this case, should I keep it as is or delete the duplicate waypoint on the final approach file?

Sorry to read about these issues, do you have a second window overlayed (e.g., a map or second window viewing ai traffic) for a long period of time when operating the program?  If so, this causes erratic AI behavior due to a bug in Simconnect.  If you want to look at the AI, switch to an AI view rather than load a second window to view AI.

Just a few shots as promised. Absolute stunning prgram and a must now every flight I fly, thanks once again for all the hard work put into making this program.

Wow thanks, very nice!

P.S. regarding the next revision.  I'm deep into it right now and pushing to get the revision out.  I'm working right now on the infrastructure to decompile the appropriate .bgl files (corresponding to installed FSX/P3D scenery and monitored airports) to get that precious taxiway and runway waypoint data.  That data will allow me to improve the programs in the several ways I've mentioned previously.  I also haven't forgotten about the bug fixes to the present 1.3B version.

What about using Make Runways for the taxiway info? I think that it takes that information from the bgls.

So does that include using Aivlasoft EFB to view ai behavior?

Just want to make sure we're discussing the same thing.  The monitor program is not part of FSX, so it is not a second FSX window.  I'm referring to FSX windows.  For example, when AI spotting, selecting from the menu View/New View/Air Traffic brings up an "new" overlayed window, which can be problematic if you leave it up for an extended duration.  Instead, choose View/View Mode/Air Traffic (switches between windows) to avoid problems.

That's a window (progam) external to FSX and it should be ok.

There's also Jon Materson's Bgl2Xml decompiler, which works brilliantly.  I'm interested in the forensic angle of decompilers, so I'm developing an internal, narrowly-tailored "lite" decompiler for my program.   However, I couldn't do it without Materson's discussions on the topic, Winfried Orthman's BGL file structure document, and the people at the FSDeveloper Wiki.

Would anyone be willing to e mail me their AIController.ini? Looking for one that has preferred jet routes active and aircraft successfully landing.   In the past when I have used this program I would never get any planes landing.  Would be much appreciated. E mail is in my profile.

You can disregard this request. I've got things working somewhat.

My issue is that when I get more than one aircraft on final with another, the one behind it will do a loop circle and then re join back behind the original aircraft, why is this? Referring to Rolland's video on youtube at LAX with multiple aircraft with the pearl effect, how can I get that?

Which settings need to be added from the read me into the .ini to get the best flow possible?
