I have given up trying to patch 2.2 to 2.3. I guess I am looking at an uninstall of 2.2 and a full install of 2.3

I have followed the instructions to the letter 3 times for patching . As I previously mentioned the about page does not changed but prepar3D.exe is the new version. FSUIPC did not work. I updated the DLL to the 4.934h file and put it in a different folder and pointed the DLL.XML to the new folder and everything worked with no CTD.

Update worked fine, but I already miss my GTN 750!!!

I posted a link to both the g and h betas in another thread. They are newer. Pete posted the f beta in late June in an RC4 thread. It's irrelevant though, since they all work with P3d 2.3.

Guys what major addons require fsiupc - just wondering as I have had it for years but I never use it - thanks

Hmmm...that's interesting ... I have a 4.935.a  dated 7/25 ... the 4.934h is dated 7/3.  Not sure if I'm allowed to share this though as it was for LM beta group.

Cheers, Rob.

This may sound like a stupid question but I patched 2.2 to 2.3 and after I deleted the correct folders 2.3 worked fine for me. I was blessed that I don't have a whole lot of add-ons (FS Global 2010 Terrain Mesh, FTX Global, FTX Vector, NC Mega Scenery, and a few aircraft). Do I need to uninstall/reinstall all these add-ons now that I've updated to 2.3?

No, but you will need to copy back your Scenery.cfg (hoping you backed it up).

I, unfortunately, had not read your post until after I had downloaded and installed the patch.

Someone use Ezdok with V2.3 and has HDR on?

I got the problem when I switch the view there is a bright light for a second...

In that case, then yes, you'll need to re-install your scenery add-ons to get the scenery.cfg updated.

I do not have/use Ezdok, but what you are describing sound like the new "eye adjustment" effect that is part of v2.3 release ... do the brightness gradually reduce back to normal levels?

The most recent beta was 4.935b dated 7/30/14. It doesn't seem any different in P3d to me than the previous beta versions, so we will have to wait until Pete gets back.
